Want to go platinum blond like Kim Kardashian? It'll cost you!

Lori Goddard, one of the colorists responsible for Kim's light and bright tresses, tells the new issue of Us Weekly the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star's "blonde-on-blonde journey" included $500 worth of highlights!

It took the pro from West Hollywood's Goddard + Bragg salon about four hours to put a "Material Girl" tint to Kim's luscious locks. This, mind you, all went down on March 3 at Kim's Calabasas, Calif., home, but just four days later, Kanye West's wife decided it was already time for a slight color adjustment (and no, tree tweak No. 2 was not included in the previously mentioned $500 price tag)!

By this point, though, Kim and co. were in France for Paris Fashion Week. So, she tells Us Weekly, she strolled into L'Atelier Blanc, where Frédéric Mennetrier "fully got the color right" and took her even blonder. "I'm like, 'Don't make me fly out to Paris every time I need to color my hair.'"

If you're missing Kim's old hair, though, don't fret. "Dark is my natural color," she tells the mag. "Being brunette is who I am."

The reason for this two-part dye job is pretty simple. "I was like, 'Why not have a fun new look?'" she says.

This isn't even the first time Kim's crossed over to the light side. Her locks were a caramelized, honey-colored hue back in 2013! Before that, though she had her doubts about the non-brunette life.

Tumblr user nappingintheforest discovered a 2011 copy of InStyle Hair where Kim said, "I wish I could have platinum blond hair like Gwen Stefani, but it wouldn't work on me."

See, dolls? Dreams really do come true!

Keeping Up With the Kardashians Season 10 premieres this Sunday at 9 p.m., only on E!
