There are a lot of cool perks that come with living in the White House, but there are some drawbacks to being a member of the First Family, too.

Security is tight, of course, and as Michelle Obama told Ellen DeGeneres on Monday's show, that can be pretty limiting. "People don't realize we can't do little things like open windows," said the First Lady.

So when the Obamas bid adieu to presidential life after Barack Obama's two terms in office, there's something pretty simple—but satisfying—Michelle can't wait to do: "I look forward to getting in a car," she told Ellen, "and rolling down the window and just letting the air hit my face!"

"I haven't been in a car with the windows open in about seven years, if you can imagine that," she added. "So I'm gonna spend that first year just hanging out the window...I just want some wind in my face!"

She's not the only one—Sasha, 13, and Malia, 16, will be glad to stay goodbye to some of the restrictiveness that comes with being the First Daughters. For now, though, they're doing just fine! Michelle described them as "typical" teenage girls, gushing, "I'm so proud of them. I think they've just managed this interesting journey with just a lot of grace and poise. I'm really proud of them."

They're not exactly interested in following in dad's political footsteps. "No, no, no," said mom empathetically. "Absolutely not!"

Michelle herself is "absolutely not" interested in a political career either. "You know, it's important work, but you have to have the personality and the passion for the politics," she said. "I just want to help folks...and you can do that in so many different ways."

"Politics is one important form to do it [help people]," she clarified. "And I'm glad there are people willing to roll up their sleeves, but I leave it to those folks...I'll find other ways to keep giving back."

Can't blame Michelle for that! Politics can be pretty tricky—we've all seen Scandal! Funnily enough, Ellen brought up Kerry Washington's hit ABC show to the First Lady during Monday's episode. So what did Michelle assure Ellen was "real" from the show about life in the White House? Watch the clip above to find out!
