Jon Hamm is on the road to recovery after rehab.

Yesterday it was revealed that the 44-year-old Mad Men star recently completed treatment for alcohol abuse. "With the support of his longtime partner Jennifer Westfeldt, Jon Hamm recently completed treatment for his struggle with alcohol addiction," his rep said in a statement. "They have asked for privacy and sensitivity going forward."

And today, E! News is getting more insight into the hunky star's troubles. "People around him have known for a while about his problem with alcohol," a source tells E! News. "In the last few years, he has seemed sad."

Luckily, Hamm decided to get help with his issues. Following treatment, the insider says of Hamm, "He's doing well now and appears to be much happier."

Great news!

Hamm, sporting a fair amount of scruff, was spotted today getting dropped off in a limo at his L.A. home, the first sighting of the actor since the rehab news broke. He did just appeared on Today on Monday—before anybody but his nearest and dearest knew—with other members of the Mad Men cast.

Most Mad Men fans were surprised to hear about Hamm's private struggles with alcohol abuse. However, back in 2012, he opened up about his drinking habits.

"I don't drink as much as Don Draper," Hamm told the Daily Mail while reportedly enjoying a bourbon on the rocks during the interview. "I would be unconscious if I did."
