Ansel Elgort couldn't make it to the 2015 MTV Movie Awards in L.A., but that doesn't mean he missed out on the fun!
The Fault in Our Stars cutie live-tweeted Sunday's show from his hotel room in Providence, R.I., where he's filming an upcoming movie, but he made sure co-star Shailene Woodley knew she had his full support!
Watching the MTV movie awards from providence because I'm filming tomorrow at 6am. Wish I could be there :( Rooting for u shai!! #tfios

Shai was certainly feeling the love, too! Her performance in The Fault in Our Stars earned her Golden Popcorn awards for Best Female Performance and Best Kiss (with Ansel!). Ansel wasn't there IRL to recreate his onscreen smooch with Shailene, but he very cutely made his way into the MTV Movie Awards moment with a little help from social media.

Shailene returned the love to Ansel, of course, and she also gave plenty of credit to author John Green, whose young adult novel was the basis for The Fault in Our Stars. "I feel like this award belongs to John Green—who I'm staring at right now—because he gave this world a beautiful masterpiece, a gift in the book The Fault in Our Stars," she gushed. "It changed my life when I read it, and being a part of this film dramatically influenced who I am today."
"His words will transcend time because they transcend any age," she went on. "There is not one single demographic that won't be affected by the wisdom and the compassion and the beauty that he laces into every single thing that he does in his life...So John Green, beyond The Fault in Our Stars, I just want to thank you for being the human that you are. And for every single day, living a life with integrity and again, compassion, on your sleeve. Because you change the lives of millions of people around the world. You changed mine. So, thank you so much."
Her heartfelt speech brought the whole audience to tears! The Fault in Our Stars had yet another chance to shine later in the evening, too, when it nabbed the most coveted Golden Popcorn of all: Movie of the Year!
Ansel, clearly ecstatic, Instagrammed his reaction to the big win.
As for The Fault in Our Stars' author, John? He seemed pretty pleased with how the night went as well.
What a crazy and wonderful night. Thanks to everyone who supported TFIOS and everyone who worked so hard to make tonight so special.
