The Good Wife is coming back. Duh! CBS has ordered a seventh season of the hit legal drama starring Julianna Margulies, but will it be its last?

When asked if the upcoming seventh season is being planned as its last, co-creator Robert King told us, "Can we leave that unanswered for the moment? I think all will become clear very, very soon."

When CBS announced its 2015-2016—The Good Wife will remain on Sundays at 9 p.m.—Nina Tassler, president of CBS Entertainment, said the show will continue. "They are visionaries, they're inspired," Tassler said of husband and wife co-creators Robert and Michelle King. "As long as they want to continue producing and writing, we love having that show on our air and are very proud of it."

Over the years, The Good Wife has charted Alicia Florrick's (Margulies) rise from wife of a disgraced politician to ace lawyer who has more than stepped out of her husband's shadow. Margulies has taken home an Emmy for her work on the series that also stars Christine Baranski, Matt Czuchry and Alan Cumming.

Czuchry, who plays Cary Agos on the series, told E! News he signed a new contract for seasons seven and eight as season six wrapped up.

"It's been such an amazing run that I'm kind of at peace now with whatever happens...I signed a contract at the end of season six for seasons seven and eight, so I made peace with the fact it may go longer and that would be OK," Czuchry told us when asked if season seven would be the last. "If it were to end with season seven, that would be OK too. I've kind of made peace with all of that. That really just comes with the fact—[we've done] well over 100 episodes and six seasons and the kind of success we've been fortunate to have is extremely, extremely rare. I'm incredibly grateful for this job and how rare that is, so whenever it may end I'm at peace with that."

When The Good Wife returns for season seven, Cumming will appear in all episodes and Archie Panjabi will be missing. The Emmy winner made her last appearance as Kalinda Sharma in the season six finale.

The Good Wife returns this fall, Sundays at 9 p.m. on CBS.
