Jennifer Lopez's new Las Vegas gig can't come soon enough.
The music superstar tells me she'll start prepping for the show sometime next month.
"Slowly, we'll start conceptualizing and then we'll start building and then we'll start getting sketches and all that stuff and then we'll start rehearsing a couple of months before, probably in the fall, early winter," J.Lo told me this afternoon at The Storybook Suite presented by Children's Miracle Network Hospitals event at Avalon in Hollywood.
Will one-again boyfriend and frequent dance collaborator Casper Smart be choreographing the show?
"He might be involved," Lopez said. "There are a lot of people we're talking to. It's a big show. It won't be one person. It will probably be a collaboration."
And a show with lots of wardrobe changes. "There will be a bunch," Lopez said. "I won't disappoint you."
The American Idol judge announced on Tuesday that she'll launch her residency on Jan. 20 at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. Lopez will be performing select dates in January, February, May and June.
She admitted she was still feeling a little sluggish today from last night's American Idol finale.
"I'm very tired," she said. "Today I really felt it after the finale last night. It was so much fun. It was so good. Every time the winner is crowned and that confetti drops and you see all those amazing performances, you remember why you love this show so much, watching someone's dream come true, seeing a family celebrating. It's awesome. It's the best show on TV still."
During the event today, Lopez met patients from Children's Hospital Los Angeles and Children's Hospital Orange County. Click the video below to hear her inspiring words about recently becoming a spokesperson for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
