The actor's wife announced the news via Instagram Wednesday morning. "We are happy to announce the birth of Rafael Thomas Baldwin," she wrote, sharing a picture of the newborn's hand holding hers. Alec shared the news with his own Twitter followers soon after.
Other birth details were not immediately available.
This is the second child for the couple, whose daughter, Carmen Baldwin, was born on Aug. 23, 2013. Alec also has a 19-year-old daughter, Ireland Baldwin, from his first marriage to actress Kim Basinger.
Hilaria announced her second pregnancy—and her baby's sex—in January.
As she did with her first pregnancy, Hilaria shared pictures of her growing baby bump with fans on Instagram. In fact, a mere four days ago, the Extra correspondent and yoga instructor wrote, "As the time gets closer, I think I'm gonna miss toting my little amiguito around...tho can't wait to meet him #BaldwinBabyBump."
Alec kept busy by promoting his movie Aloha (co-starring Bradley Cooper, Rachel McAdams and Emma Stone), as well as interviewing artists, policy makers and performers for his Here's the Thing podcast. He also did voiceover work for Dreamworks Animation and 20th Century Fox's Boss Baby, due in early 2017.
