The European style tour just keeps getting better and better for the Obama ladies.

Michelle Obama and daughters Sasha Obama and Malia Obama touched down in Venice, Italy on June 19 wearing a patriotic medley of swingy summer frocks: Michelle in a rich red shirtdress, Malia in a short navy blue frock and Sasha sporting a structured white top and monochrome skirt.

This is the most recent hit in a trip of many, many fashion triumphs—from when the ladies first landed in London to their arrival in Milan. The trio had a busy London stay, with FLOTUS in town to support the U.S. and U.K. Let Girls Learn partnership. (She and her daughters made the rounds in a suite of summer-perfect dresses.)

In Milan, meanwhile, the Obamas had time to take in the sights of one of the world's most beautiful cities, stopping by the Piazza del Duomo and eventually climbing the mammoth cathedral themselves (Michelle, Sasha and Malia were spotted lighting candles in the Duomo—reportedly to honor the shooting victims in Charleston, S.C.).

Mrs. Obama was also sighted in the Milan suburb Rho, where she liaised with Italy's first lady Agnese Landini in a slim-fitting black frock featuring multihued stripes. Her silver ankle-strap sandals were probably the most exciting part of the look (we're used to seeing the first lady in her well-loved black Jimmy Choo pumps)—a definitively smart, metallic touch.

As for what's in store for the ladies in Venice—Gondolas? Gelato? More insanely chic dresses? Time will tell!
