Ahead of her Hawaiian vacation on July 22, Britney Spears debuted a colorful new hairdo in the form of freshly dyed lavender tips. Most of her staple buttery blond shade still intact, the 33-year-old integrated the punchy hair color with her natural hue in the form of a playful ombré.
While the new 'do might be the result of a breakover (post-breakup makeover), it could also just be Britney being Britney. It's well documented she likes to change her hair quite often. And purple-tipped tresses are hardly the most drastic hair makeover the pop star's ever had. In fact, she once rocked pink and blue ends at the same time.
Also experimenting with bold colors this summer, Kelly Ripa has already tested bright blue and bubblegum pink hair shades this summer (could purple be next?) and even Jenny McCarthy went for a hot pink mane makeover. But Brit is the first major star since Nicole Richie to dip into lilac shades.
