Selena Gomez is only 23, but she's already feeling the sting of getting older?

"You know kids don't even know who I am anymore," she said with a laugh while promoting her family friendly flick Hotel Transylvania 2. "It made me so sad [because] I was literally doing an interview with this little girl…and I was like, 'You know, when I did the show I was on,' and she goes, 'What show?' I was like, what's happening? I'm getting old!"

Gomez offered up her "sad" story when E! News asked if she's thought about a Wizards of Waverly Place reunion. "We literally just talked about that!" she said, adding, "I loved my show. I'm so proud of it. I miss them. I just had dinner with David Henrie. It's just the best. I loved it. It was such a good real time in my life."

In Hotel Transylvania 2, Gomez plays a mom (23-year-olds could do that) to a half human, half vampire baby (In the first film, her character Mavis was still a teenager.)

She says playing a mom for the first time was "very weird.

"But at the same time, it was cool because when I saw Dennis, my son, I immediately became like super protective already," Gomez said. "It was so precious. I just wanted to love him."

Also returning for the second HT are Adam Sandler as Gomez's dad Dracula and Andy Samberg as her boyfriend-turned-husband Jonathan.

Shooting voice-over work for an animated film is "way more laid back," Gomez said. "You're there for 10 days. You're hanging out. You're acting crazy and making all these noises…It's the best feeling to go in and play with people."

Hotel Transylvania 2 is in theaters tomorrow, Sept. 25.
