In mid-September, E! News confirmed the actor and his girlfriend of nine years are expecting their first child together, and on Tuesday, the couple announced their baby's sex on Instagram. "I was raised by and live with amazing and strong women, so the universe felt we needed one more... IT'S A BABY GIRL!!" the Furious 7 actor revealed to his followers. Johnson, who has starred in family-friendly films like The Game Plan and Tooth Fairy, is already father to a 14-year-old daughter, Simone Alexandra. He shares custody of her with his ex-wife and college sweetheart Dany Garcia.
The former professional wrestler cherishes spending quality time with his firstborn daughter. In September, for example, Johnson posted a picture of one of their outings on Instagram. "Had the best dinner w/ my daughter Simone at one of our favorite spots," the movie star wrote in the caption. In spite of his success in Hollywood, Johnson has said he's most proud of his relationships. "We do these stories and we talk so much about the business end, the success end, but then Lauren isn't mentioned and my daughter isn't mentioned," the actor told Esquire in August. "I always like making sure we find the balance and my home is in there and Lauren Hashian is in there and my daughter is in there. You gotta get the better half in there. With all the cool s--t and success that I've been lucky enough to get? That doesn't happen unless the home life is solid."
Johnson's daughter will arrive in time for his next family click, Disney's Moana.
