If you do a quick scan of his Instagram feed, you'll find that there's very few women in Hollywood who haven't sported one of his detailed, form-fitting designs—even Michelle Obama donned a royal-blue CS number at this year's Democratic National Convention.
Sure, it's not hard to build a loyal fan base when you come out of the gate dressing supermodel (and Project Runway host) Heidi Klum, but ever since being crowned the Season 4 winner back in 2008, he's established a reputation in the industry for celebrating all body types with his custom designs.
Just this year, Siriano designed a red-carpet gown for comedian Leslie Jones when no other designers would. "I can't wait to create something special for her to wear…I support all women no matter age or size," noted Christian. And, he partnered with plus-size retailer Lane Bryant to collab on a collection, starring Ashley Graham.
But there's plenty more where that came from. Just check out his track record.
2008-2011
Little did the designer know that Heidi's yellow and gray taffeta gown would be the first of many red-carpet moments for him.
In similar fashion, Shailene Woodley, a hot up-and-coming actress at the time, wore one of his shorter length designs to the 2008 American Music Awards. For the more casual affair, and for the lanky teenager, he struck the right balance of youth and sophistication with a high neckline and short, flirty hemline.
At the same time, the man gets curves. Just take Christina Hendricks and Maggie Grace, for example, who flaunted their figures in dresses cinched in at the waist. Somehow, the ruffles didn't make them look bigger but, in fact, accentuated their hourglass forms.
2011-2014
As the designer continued to gain esteem, he started dressing even more Hollywood It Girls of all shapes and sizes. Loyal starlets, like the Mad Men actress, stuck around, but he also started working with a variety of fresh-faced stars, many of which also happened to be petite in stature.
Instead of voluminous ruffles to accentuate curves, he stuck to a formula of form-fitting cocktail dresses—case in point: Mena Suvari at his namesake runway show in 2012 and Ashlee Simpson circa 2013. Modern Family muse Sarah Hyland jumped on the Siriano bandwagon, too, but for her more formal awards show appearances, she often wears the pro's longer gowns, like this pleated, draped look that gracefully highlighted her small frame.
2014-Present
Jump forward to present day, and there's no body shape Siriano doesn't want to work with (Jennifer Hudson! Danielle Brooks! Jaimie Alexander! Kerry Washington!). Even athletic shapes are made feminine in his designs. A pint-sized Jada Picket Smith looked curvy at NYFW in an embellished, layered skirt on bottom and bold shoulder pads up top to add a bit of volume. A youthful Maisie Williams looked shapely, too, in a darling A-line skirt at the designer's 2014 presentation.
To accentuate the fuller figures of Olympian Lindsey Vonn and funny girl Amy Schumer, the designer created minimal, cocktail attire, which looked clean and classic on both. Mayim Bialik is a little more dressed up and modest at the 21st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, but in the hands of Siriano, still got the red carpet treatment in her subtly sexy long-sleeve number.
Considering celebs with specific body types tend to prefer certain brands (think: Chanel and lean celebs, Dolce & Gabbana and hourglass-shaped stars, Tadashi Shoji and fuller-figured beauties), it's nice to see a versatile designer who can handle them all.
