Sherlock's looking fresh to death in season four. Masterpiece and PBS have released the first photo of Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman as Sherlock Holmes and John Watson, respectively, and they're looking slick.

Just look at that plaid shirt buttoned all the way up on Watson and that slicked back hair. Watson is looking…dare we say, a bit hipster? And then there's Sherlock. Just look at him.

Season four is in production and poised to premiere in 2017. Moriarty is back (yes, you're allowed to rejoice over that) and it's "really dark," Amanda Abbington teased at San Diego Comic-Con. A new trailer for the fourth season was also revealed.

But is this the end of Sherlock? Maybe. Probably not. Who knows?

"I don't know how long we can keep it going. I'm personally willing but I'm hardly the main draw," co-creator, writer and executive producer Steven Moffat told The Telegraph. "I would be moderately surprised if this was the last time we ever made this show. But it absolutely could be."

Cumberbatch and Freeman are in high demand, but that hasn't stopped them from coming together for the fourth season.

"That's why I think it's unlikely that we've completely finished it. There would be nothing strange in stopping for a while," Moffat said. "It could go on forever, coming back now and again."

Season four will see Freeman's Watson preparing for fatherhood. Hipster dad Waston?!

"Sherlock series four—here we go again! Whatever else we do, wherever we all go, all roads lead back to Baker Street, and it always feels like coming home," Moffat said in a statement when production commenced in April. "Ghosts of the past are rising in the lives of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson and terror and tragedy are looming. This is the story we've been telling from the beginning and it's about to reach its climax."

Look the return of Sherlock in 2017.
