Come on, Internet: There's nothing comical about a fake death.

Prank site Global Associated News is up to its old tricks, reporting Thursday that Adam Sandler had been killed in a tragic snowboarding accident in Zermatt, Switzerland. (The site allows users to plug a famous person's name into a generator that creates a celebrity death headline. In recent years, Global has been responsible for killing off Eddie Murphy, Owen Wilson, Luke Perry, Denzel Washington, Ryan Gosling and many more.)

Fortunately, the 45-year-old funnyman is alive and well. Unless that was his zombie self at work on the set of Grown Ups 2 yesterday as this faux headline was making its rounds on the Web.

This is the just the latest instance of his rep having to shoot down Sandler's death by Twitter. This hoax first surfaced in December 2010 and then again about a year ago.

Sandler has been out promoting his new film, That's My Boy, which hits theaters July 15. In the flick, Sandler plays Andy Samberg's father.

Fake news sites, it's time to stop with the Sandler death hoaxes. Who wants to live in a world without Happy Madison films?!
