Take. It. Off.

Or at least that's what we've been prayin' for since the first day we heard of the male stripper flick Magic Mike. After all, the film's practically a Chippendales show starring Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello and Alex Pettyfer—only the hottest cast, like, ever.

So, when we caught up with Magic Mike director Steven Soderbergh at the Haywire premiere, we had to ask the dude what's up with all this full frontal hoopla?

After all, we've seen tons of chicks bear it all before (uh, Carey Mulligan in Shame), so does this mean Mr. Soderbergh was scared to have the dude's fully strip down?

"No, no, no, I wasn't worried about that," Mr. Soderbergh admitted with a chuckle.

Hmm, sounds like a roundabout response, Steve, since there has been mucho back and forth as to whether the hotties will drop some serious trou.

And why shouldn't they? We're totally over this incredibly sexist boy's club rule (ya know, the unspoken code where it's totally fine to sex up a movie with female nudity but we're never left with any, er, python sneak peeks?).

You catch our drift. So, what did Mr. Soderbergh have to say about this naked discrepancy?

"Certainly there's enough male skin in it to make up for a century of discrepancy."

Well, we seriously hope so, and since the flick's not out until June, we're thinking there's plenty of time to edit in a few full frontals if there's no real R-rated action.

After all, we know how much these dudes prepped their bods, and even Soderbergh admitted there was a competitive spirit on set:

"They're worse than women. Believe me, they made sure when they showed up they looked amazing. They're all competitive. It was hilarious."

So since we know the starring dudes will be looking even yummier than before, we say let these men have their moment.

Butt shots? So, 2011. We're holding out for the full package, and you should be, too.

Prepare to picket the theaters if need be!
