Way to go, Tate. You think you could just hop on top of Vivien and impregnate her without any real repercussions? You might just be responsible for the end of the world as we know it. Thanks a lot!

Yessir, American Horror Story went way beyond the walls of the house with this week's episode. This time, we're all in danger. Plus, someone else got murdered inside the house, which means more ghosts to party with…

WHAT WE LEARNED

Vivien Might Be Carrying the Antichrist: At the very end of the episode, AHS decided to throw in a little nugget of info: A baby created by a human and a spirit could usher in the end of days. Tate, congratulations…you are the father of Satan's spawn. Constance (Jessica Lange) was told all this by her medium (Sarah Paulson), and we actually believe her. More evidence that this baby is evil: The doctor confirmed to Ben (Dylan McDermott) that Vivien (Connie Britton) is carrying twins with two separate fathers, and those babies are growing faster than normal. At least one baby is growing fast, and how much you want to bet it's not the human one?

But back to that whole two separate fathers thing. At first, Ben is convinced that Vivien cheated on him, which she kind of did, but not knowingly. He accused Luke (Morris Chestnut), their hunky security guard, who assured Ben he's "firing blanks," so it couldn't have been him.  So, he didn't deny sleeping with her. He just denied fathering a child with Ben's wife. Or are we reading too much into that? Probably.

All of this led to Ben's realization that Vivien is telling the truth about being attacked by a man in a rubber suit. More importantly, Moira (Alexandra Breckenridge) told Ben that he was finally starting to see things for what they really are, and for the first time she appeared to him as an old woman. Gasp! Ben will probably take that well, eh? But we were happy to see Ben finally standing up to young Moira throughout the whole episode, even though she tried her hardest to seduce him: girl on girl action, provocative comments, the works. Way to go, Ben! Oh, but your wife is still going to give birth to the Antichrist, so you're still in a pickle.

Hayden Is as Unstable as They Come: No, seriously. This bitch is even crazier as a ghost. But we love it, because Kate Mara is so deliciously evil and creepy, we want her around all the time.  She shows up in front of the missing persons detective to assure him (and her sister), that she wasn't missing, so that saved Ben from going to jail. However, Hayden later kills Constance's boyfriend Travis (Michael Graziadei) after he slept with her and then pretty much dissed her right after. Now we have yet another ghost in the house, but he's a mighty attractive one, so we don't mind. Plus, we got to see a bunch of the ghosts team up to get rid of the body, so they're almost like a quirky family just trying to make the most of their situation. We smell a spinoff sitcom!

We also got a little flashback to the start of Ben and Hayden's affair, so we got to see her as just a young girl in love with the wrong man. Unfortunately, it's led her to being trapped in a house for probably all of eternity. Ben also semi-washed his hands of Hayden by telling her he will never love her and he never did. Something tells us she still won't be giving up on becoming Mrs. Dr. Ben Harmon.

The Truth About the Black Dahlia: While she wasn't exactly an integral part of the storyline, we at least got a cool flashback to the '40s and an answer to one of the biggest murder mysteries in Hollywood history—well, AHS' answer, anyway. Elizabeth Short (Mena Suvari) comes to the house, which was then owned by a dentist (Joshua Malina), to get her teeth worked on. She doesn't have any money, so she offers up her body instead. The dentist has sex with her while she's all gassed up, and he accidentally kills her in the process. He drags her down into the basement, where Dr. Charles Montgomery (Matt Ross) pops up to slice her up. If you don't know the story on how Elizabeth was found, check out this site and that'll save us having to explain it.

Again, the tale of Elizabeth's demise wasn't necessary for the rest of the plotlines to unravel, but Suvari was excellent in the role, and it was a cool little side story. Agreed?

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • What will Constance do now that she knows what Vivien's carrying inside her womb?
  • What else does Hayden have up her sleeve to get Ben to love her?
  • Are you all also starting to think that Vivien won't make it out of this alive?
  • Will any of the Harmons make it out alive?

WHAT LIES AHEAD:

Smoldering Children: That's the title of AHS' next episode, which is probably where we'll get more backstory on Larry (Denis O'Hare). We told you before we'd be seeing his children, who died in the house, but we still don't know how he got the burns. We bet our head-to-toe latex suits we'll find out in that episode.

After Birth: And that is the title of AHS' 90-minute finale, which will surely be full of enough twists and turns to make even the savviest TV watcher's head spin. And we absolutely cannot wait. Also, there is a bit of casting info we stumbled across that lead us to believe that the Harmons might come away with somewhat of a happy ending. We won't reveal more than that, but here's hoping the tragic story of the Harmons doesn't end even more tragically.

What did you guys think of tonight's episode? Ben's eyes are open, the Antichrist is coming and everybody is screwed. And we're nearing the end of the season, so what questions do you still need answers for? Time to unleash your speculation in the comments section!
