First Community, now this?! It's like the TV gods are trying to piss us off.

ABC unveiled its midseason lineup today, and Cougar Town was nowhere to be found on the schedule. Take a second to rage out about this, and then let's head in for more details…

The fan-favorite show, starring the Courteney Cox and her Cul-de-sac Crew, was always expected to come back midseason on the alphabet network, but it seems that ABC has other plans. No word on how the Cougar Town peeps are reacting to this awful news, but we are waiting with bated breath for executive producer Bill Lawrence's tweets to start rolling out. According to his twitter, he's on vacation in the Bahamas right now, so he might be blissfully unaware that he was shelved.

What is premiering instead? Kristin Chenoweth's Good Christian Belle's (GCB) (replacing Pan Am), Work It (replacing struggling comedy Man Up) and thriller series The River.

But Cougar Town is not the only show missing from the schedule, so at least it has company on the ABC bench. Don't Trust the Bitch in Apt. 23, starring Krysten Ritter, Dreama Walker and James Van Der Beek is also nowhere to be found, as well as Shonda Rhimes' political drama Scandal, which stars Kerry Washington.

Below is the full midseason schedule:

Tuesday, Jan. 3
8:30-9 p.m: Work It (Premiere)
9 -10 p.m.: Celebrity Wife Swap (Premiere)

Thursday, Jan. 5
8-9 p.m.: Wipeout : Winter Wipeout (Season Premiere)

A world without Community or Cougar Town? We're not sure we want to live on this planet anymore. Or we can just go with what Lost's Damon Lindelof tweeted last night: "In order for both to survive, Cougartown and Community must, like the lions of Voltron, BECOME ONE."

Alright, Cougar Town fans. We know you're out there, and we know you're angry. So head to the comments and unleash the fury!
