If you're a fan of The Vampire Diaries, you know Kevin Williamson isn't afraid to get a little blood on his hands.

With the witches on Williamson and Andrew Miller's new hit series The Secret Circle dealing with power they sometimes can't control and parents who aren't afraid to murder a former friend, it's pretty much a safe bet that no one on the show is safe, a fact its young stars are definitely aware of.

So what did Thomas Dekker and Phoebe Tonkin have to say about the possibility of death visiting Chance Harbor?

When we asked Tonkin and Dekker about Williamson's penchant for axing characters, they laughed nervously before Dekker said, "I hear he resurrects a lot though, too. I keep that in the back of my mind." Look at that, he's a glass half full kind of guy!

Thankfully, Tonkin has a foolproof plan to ensure resident bad girl Faye's place in the coven. "If [Williamson] wants a cup of tea, I'll get him a cup of tea," she said with a laugh. On a more serious note, Dekker said, "Hopefully we don't die. I don't think we will. At least not in this season." Reassuring!

Other than death, the young coven of witches has another problem to worry about: their parents. When viewers first met Charles (Gale Harold), Diana's (Shelley Hennig) father, he was murdering Cassie's (Britt Robertson) mother—and we soon learned that Faye's mother, Dawn (Natasha Henstridge), is his partner in crime.

"It's like who's worse?" Tonkin said. "Some of the adults are the worst characters." Still, it's hard to determine on this show who exactly is good and who's bad. "We're all manipulative but it's unclear which is a manipulation for good and which is for evil," Dekker teased.
