No WWE Rumble for Rourke
Mickey Rourke's appearance on Wrestlemania 25 was a total knock out before it even began.
At the SAG Awards on Sunday, the Academy Award nominee for his role as Randy "The Ram" Robinson in The Wrestler told E! News he was planning to "do" the event. He even threatened WWE star Chris Jericho, saying, "You better get in shape because I'm coming after your ass."
But, sadly, the April 5 grapple in Houston is not to be.
"Mickey was very honored to be asked as he has the greatest respect for WWE however he will not be participating in Wrestlemania," the actor's rep, Paula Woods, says in a statement. "He is focusing entirely on his acting career."
Besides, the Golden Globe winner has a more prestigious match to concentrate on: his upcoming Oscar face-off with Sean Penn.
SAG Red Carpet: Totally Behind the Scenes
Worked some live TV from the SAG Awards red carpet on Sunday and brought along the Lyons Den cam to get you behind-the-scenes from the Shrine Auditorium. Hit the clip to see what goes into prep, how the red carpet looks when nobody's on it, what Kevin Connolly's gotta say, and exclusive footage of the crazy arrival of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
More SAG Hangovers!
And you think we hate Angie here at A.T.? We actually just voted her best poser of the SAG Awards, because, lets face it, she may be annoying at times, but she and that dog-meat stud of hers look ridiculously hot in photos together.
Your best accessory is a sexalicious man or woman by your side, people. Don't know why Emily Blunt and John Krasinski didn't do the same. Who do you think worked it best? Play and find out. Teri Hatcher was our close second, shocker there, too.
Mariska Hargitay Returns to SVU
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit fans can breathe easy.
Mariska Hargitay returned to the SVU set Monday afternoon, E! News confirms.
The 45-year-old Emmy-winner suffered a pneumothorax—or partially collapsed lung—while the show was on hiatus for the holidays.
Even though filming of the highest rated member of NBC's L&O family was put on hold last week, the star's rep claimed Hargitay would not miss an episode.
Due to the illness, the actress was also forced to miss both the Golden Globe and SAG Award ceremonies, where she was nominated for Best Actress in a TV Drama Series.
The cause of her ailment has yet to be revealed.
Caught! Anne Puffs, Brangelina Huffs at SAGs Party!
The SAGs official afterparty Sunday night was such a reminder that H'wood really is just a bigger, glitzier and even more bulimic high school. Most everyone sat with their respective cliques as the room was divided between the partiers such as Emily Blunt (in the smoking section) and serious act-ors, like Meryl Streep and Amy Adams (nonsmoking).
Here's what went down:
John Krasinski and GF Emily Blunt, who really should think about eating something perhaps with a crust on it, cruising around looking disgustingly happy, glowing, it's very serious between them, sorry all you J.K. fans out there. Indeed, John was play-fighting with a friend for hugging Em a little too tightly. Meanwhile, feisty on her own was Blunt having a "boob-off" touching titties with laugh-riot queen…
SAG Scoop: The Office, Dexter, Mickey & Milk
Copy machines and cats...just another day at The Office. Actually, it's more like Super Bowl night.
Jenna Fischer says expect utter lunacy on the Office episode airing Sunday immediately after the big game this Sunday. "Pam gets some family news that she and Jim have to deal with," Fischer told me yesterday on the SAG Awards red carpet, before she took off to shoot some photos she was planning to post on her MySpace page.
"The entire office goes berserk and there's complete mayhem," she said. "I can say that Jim and Andy do something insane with a copy machine, and Angela does something crazy with a cat."
And while you're waiting for that, here's what else I learned on the carpet:

Kate Winslet on Penis Politics
Finally, after much tacky prodding, we got Kate Winslet to fess up on the sexist disrobing policies of Hollywood.
Natch, Winslet continued her award-winning tour last night at the SAG show, picking up Best Supporting Actress, and we couldn't be more thrilled for the über-talented babe. You all must check out The Reader, in which K.W. fiercely plays a Nazi character—often nude, something she claimed made her "insane" during filming.
"It was just tough," fessed Kate. "I have to disappear into this person and figure out who she is. And I didn't like her all the time. It was hard coming to a place where I understood her. I think it was the most challenging part I've ever been asked to play."
And just as she so deftly did in Titanic, Kate bears all in Reader, also like so many girl nominees this year. Jeez, what's with this screwed-up, female-only nudie system in T-town? Precisely. So we friggin' asked Kate why American guys don't do the same?
Mickey Rourke: From Wrestler to Wrestlemania
Mickey Rourke is taking this wrestling thing way too seriously.
Hollywood's comeback kid du jour, who just notched an Oscar nomination for playing washed-up pro-grappler in Darren Aronofsky's The Wrestler, is eyeing the ring for real, announcing on the red carpet at last night's SAG Awards that he plans to participate in the WWE's Wrestlemania 25 in Houston April 5.
"The nicest thing has been the whole wrestling community embracing us," Rourke tells E! News. "The movie was about their world and so I think maybe I'm gonna do Wrestlemania in Houston.
"I had some dialogue with Vince McMahon and Rick Flair, Roddy Piper and all the rest of them and they've been really supportive."
Mickey Rourke and Evan Rachel Wood Hook Up?
Back in November, rumors swirled that Mickey Rourke and Evan Rachel Wood were a new item, which Rourke quite hatefully called untrue. However, onlookers at last night's SAG afterparty blab that the two were looking quite cozy.
Read on if you can stomach it:
Blab, Blab, Blab: Sean Penn Secure in His Sexuality
"No."
—Laughed Sean Penn when we asked him if he'd had any initial reservations about playing Harvey Milk and all that comes along with such a role...you know, like kissing other dudes
Angelina's New Red Carpet Style: Love It or Leave It?
Angelina Jolie has been a big fan of flowy frocks lately for award shows.
She chose a blue Max Azria dress for the SAG Awards and another silver Max Azria number for the Critics' Choice Awards.
And while the sparkly silver gown she wore for Globes looks similar, Angie pointed out to E!'s Giuliana Rancic that she's actually only worn Max Azria twice. (Her Globes dress was Atelier Versace).
She also told Giuliana she's dressing for comfort these days...but we think these dresses could also easily hide a baby bump if Brangelina decides to add to their brood.
Do you think Angie's new red carpet style is a hit or miss? Weigh in below.
SAGs Red Carpet Sees Michelle Obama Effect
Barack Obama isn’t the only one shaking things up after just a few days in office. Michelle rocked the fashion world via Washington with her much-discussed inaugural gown by Jason Wu, and now it seems others are inspired by the one-shoulder trend.
Tonight’s red carpet saw numerous stars donning the single shoulder strap—everyone from Evan Rachel Wood to Viola Davis to Laura Linney and even Teri Hatcher, with her more dramatic version. Love it or hate it, we suspect this will just be the first of many fashion fads Michelle will kick-start over the next four years.
