The night Ashlee Simpson-Wentz got booted off Melrose Place, she was busy playing her most important role: mommy!

"She's home with Bronx," Pete Wentz explained of Ashlee's absence from last night's Guess? and Vanity Fair party for the Invisible Children charity.

"He has a 101-degree fever. We're just glad it's not swine flu!" he continued.

The freshly shorn rocker was a cohost at the charity fête along with Kristen Bell and Rachel Bilson—which sort of explains why he wasn't home tucking Bronx into bed or consoling his suddenly unemployed wife. Only that wasn't the only party he hit last night...

Jessica Simpson may be single, but she's not searching for Mr. Right this time.

Instead, she's letting him find her.

"I think that in the right time, somebody will find me," she told E! News Friday at Operation Smile's gala, where her entire family was being honored. "I'm not seeking it out right now. I'm waiting...but not miserably!"

Sounds like she's in a good place since her birthday breakup with Tony Romo.

But while Perez says that a tipsy Ashlee ended up verbally attacking Michelle (accompanied by a new beau) about her dating Pete Wentz, we've learned things weren't that serious.

The on-again twosome, who separated after two years of marriage, hit T-Mobile's Sidekick LX launch party last night looking very much in love.

"Everything's perfect!" the singer gushed as she and Carey cuddled on a VIP couch. So what made them decide to give their relationship a second chance?

"He couldn't live without me!" Pink said of her hubby. "She drove me so crazy that I missed her," added Carey.

The two are taking their love on the road this summer, when they'll be touring Australia together. Carey is setting up free motocross shows before Pink's concerts.

While Ashlee Simpon Wentz's been twittering about how much she misses hubby Pete Wentz while he's touring, he's been partying like a rock star on tour.

After Fall Out Boy's sold-out show at the Palms Sunday night, Pete got down with some scantily clad dancers until the early morning at a Vegas afterparty.

Ashlee, who's back home in L.A., has been keeping herself busy posting adorable pics of baby Bronx on her Twitter.

"Bx and I miss you so much," she tweeted on Tuesday night. "We are only the 2 amigo's without you. Last night I wanted a snuggle fest with you. Miss you mucho."

Although Pete is scheduled to play shows in Portland and Seattle next, it sounds like the whole family will be back together come Sunday.

"This is going to be the best Easter EVER!!" she tweeted to Pete.

Ashlee and Pete Wentz's baby, Bronx Mowgli, is doing just fine.

After Ashlee canceled an appearance at the Eleven Spa Vegas party Wednesday, rumors flew that she stayed home because Bronx had broken his arm.

"It's not true," her rep said, adding that Ash was planning to attend but canceled due to scheduling issues. "Everyone is fine."

Instead of hitting the soiree in Sin City, where Eva Longoria Parker and Mario Lopez were hanging, Ash opted to stay local and grab sushi at Nobu with her girlfriends.

Also at the restaurant in Los Angeles, Brandy Norwood celebrating her birthday with brother Ray J, Lil' Kim and Diddy in attendance.

Despite the fact that Pete Wentz has overshared about his sex life with wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz in recent interviews, he's still on in-laws Joe and Tina Simpson's good sides.

"Never!" Tina said outside La Loggia restaurant, when paps asked if they were mad about Pete's loose lips. "We love him!"

Still, Pete didn't attend the dinner party, while Ashlee, Jessica (who hid behind a pillow on her way out) and Tony Romo all did.

And it sounds like Tony may have hooked the whole fam up with Super Bowl tickets. When asked where he'll be watching the game, Joe says he'll be there for it.

Guess that's one perk of your daughter dating an NFL player. Then again, Pete's band, Fall Out Boy, is performing at the NFL Pepsi Smash concert in Tampa on Super Bowl weekend. Maybe he can get Joe some tickets?
