Another Melrose Place Alum Bites the Dust on Reboot

Melrose Place Fox

Don't expect the Melrose Place reboot to follow in 90210''s footsteps. While the fresh West Bev High hit was more than happy to bring back Tori Spelling, Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth, the CW remake seems only interested in one babe: Heather Locklear. Courtney Thorne-Smith and Lisa Rinna ain't comin' back to the Place, and joining the club of another alum not asked back to the neighborhood?

None other than…

Andrew Shue, darlings. Andrew, just as humpable as evuh while arriving to the opening of the Betsy Hotel and BLT Steak in Miami, dished exclusively to us about his possible Place status:

"You in for the new version?" we queried. "No. They haven't asked me," said Andy, sounding sorta dissed. "I live on the East Coast, and I have a family. And I'm busy with CafeMom.com, which is the No. 1 social networking site for mothers. That's doing very well for us."

"So if you were asked back, wouldya do it?" we pressed. "It would have to be something short-term, and it would have to depend on the storyline," said Shue. "Melrose Place was great, but I don't think I'll be doing it. I'll never say never, especially because my brother-in-law is directing the pilot." Nepotism, to be sure, has saved more than one dying career in this town.

But most important for boob-tube salvation? Fingers crossed for Locklear's bitchtastic Amanda to return to the small screen. C'mon, Melrose Place producers—if you're gonna force Ashlee Simpson-Wentz down our throats, can't we have Heather to get the taste of bad acting out of our mouth?
