Rachael Ray's on a Roll

The last few weeks have been a busy one for Food Network star Rachael Ray. On Wednesday, the 30-Minute Meals host celebrated the 500th episode of her Oprah Winfrey-backed daytime talk show, Rachael Ray. The program—a mix of celebrate chat, cooking demos and Ray’s trademark everywoman vibe—welcomed such big-name guests as Barbara Walters and Matthew McConaughey.

And, last Saturday she hosted her second annual SXSW party in honour of the popular indie music festival that takes place every spring in Austin, Texas. But, the invasion of the EVOO queen didn’t sit well with the scene’s more alternative fan base, with bloggers taking to the websphere to air their displeasure. In her typical plucky fashion, Ray responded to her haters in an MTV interview by saying, “I don't see why we'd be out of place down there, when we're just fans of music who decided to put on a show. I guess if they don't like good music, and they don't like good food, they don't have to go.”

Guess if they can’t take the heat, they’ll have to stay out of her kitchen, too!
