UPDATE: Petty's attorney, Blair Berk, tells E! News the Point Break star has pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor DUI charge and will receive five years' informal probation.

In exchange for pleading no contest to a technical violation DUI with a blood-alcohol content of 0.08, prosecutors agreed to dismiss two misdemeanor counts of DUI with bodily injury. As part of the deal, the actress will receive outpatient treatment, attend AA classes and pay fines up to $1,500.

"It's basically a court probation which means you're pledged to stay out of trouble and it significantly increases the penalties should you get into trouble again while on probation," says Berk.

Tank Girl has officially been charged with being tanked following a DUI bust in June.

The 45-year-old, who was arrested in Venice after allegedly hitting a skateboarder with her car, was slapped with one count each of DUI with injury and DUI with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 percent or higher. She was also charged with driving without proof of insurance.

The skateboarder, whose identity has not been made public, was treated on the scene for minor injuries. Petty was not injured but was taken into police custody and jailed for roughly five hours before being released on $100,000 bail.

The DUI counts have a maximum penalty of up to one year in county jail per charge along with a $1,000 fine.
