Eclipse Start Date Comes Into View

Had Summit made the start date of Eclipse any sooner, Bella Swan may have been in danger of sporting a decidedly unflattering mullet for her third round of Edward Cullen-swooning.
As it is, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, a beefed-up Taylor Lautner and the rest of the Twilight gang will be reassembling in Vancouver, British Columbia, on Aug. 17, when they will begin production on Eclipse, the third installment of the Stephenie Meyer franchise.
Production on the film will run until the vampire- and werewolf-friendly date of Oct. 31, just a few weeks before the recently wrapped second installment of the saga, New Moon, is released on Nov. 20.
As for Eclipse, which will be directed by David Slade and written by Dexter scribe Melissa Rosenberg, the blockbuster-in-waiting is scheduled for release on June 30, 2010.
