Brooks & Dunn Bow Out After 20-Years of Country Classics

With nearly two decades of hits and countless accolades under those shiny, brass belt buckles, country music's biggest group is "calling it a day."

Brooks & Dunn announced the split on their website today saying: "After 20 years of making music and riding this trail together, we have agreed as a duo that it's time call it a day. This ride has been everything and more than we could ever have dreamed."

The class act, made up of Ronnie Dunn and Kix Brooks, wrapped up their statement by addressing their countless loyal fans: "We owe it all to you, the fans. If you hear rumors, don't believe them, it's just time."

After hitting the scene in 1991 with their debut hit "Brand New Man," Brooks & Dunn has released an upwards of 40 singles, 20 of which have reached number one, and the CMA's have honored the men with Vocal Duo of the Year 13 times between 1992 and 2006.

The pair will release their final album on Septmeber 8, a roundup of number one hits throughout the years, and wrap up their run with The Last Rodeo Tour in 2010.
