Big Brother Castoff Chima Admits Russell Isn't a Terrorist After All

Big Brother, Russell Kairouz, Chima Simone CBS

Looks who's having second thoughts. (Or coherent thoughts, in general.)

A day after a national TV audience watched Chima Simone get unceremoniously booted from Big Brother 11 for her unruly behavior, the 33-year-old fussbucket is feeling a wee bit of remorse.

Not for the way she treated her fellow houseguests or the show's producers, mind you. But apparently she would rather not be the scourge of an entire ethnic community.

"I am particularly sorry that my words disparaged the regard and respect that should be shown to all cultures, especially the Middle Eastern community in this time of great turmoil within our nations," Simone wrote in an email to Hollyscoop.com, referring to her on-camera clash with housemate Russell Kairouz, in which she called the Lebanese-American mixed martial-arts fighter a "terrorist" and accused him of "terrorizing everybody in the house."

"In describing Russell's abusive, bullying, and threatening actions towards me and other houseguests, I referred to him as a terrorist," Simone continued. "I used a phrase that was insensitive given his Middle Eastern descent and I apologize to all who are justifiably offended with my use of that racially charged term.

"My sentiments concerning his behavior, however, remain intact. I do not agree with his antagonistic rampages throughout the house. Russell constantly demoralized many of us on a consistent basis and his conduct was alarming, daunting, and terrifying."

So basically, Kairouz can still go suck it.

Simone, of course, was not kicked off the show for going verbally postal, nor was calling Kairouz a terrorist one of the myriad rule violations that got her prematurely evicted.

No, she chucked her microphone in the backyard spa. Unlike spouting offensive slurs that could turn you into an iconic, Puck-reminiscent villain, breaking equipment happens to be frowned upon.

Chima and Russell should kiss and make up like the TV Couples We Love.
