Oprah vs. Tyra vs. Ellen Dance-Off Really Happening

Loading...

This year, there is only one way to premiere a daytime talk show: a choreographed dance. Maybe all the reality dance competition shows are to blame—Dancing With the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, America's Best Dance Crew—or maybe America just really likes dance breaks in the middle of the afternoon?

Whatever the case, earlier this week, Tyra Banks tried out a little dance routine (again) for the premiere of her show. Yes, it was ridiculous.

It's pretty hard to watch Tyra flail around with whatever smile she calls that plastered on her face. At least Oprah was smart enough not to participate...

Oprah got in on the dance action when 21,000 of her biggest fans performed synchronized arm motions to the Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling." Oprah tweeted this of the performance: "Oh my! Wanna make yourself happy? Watch this. Please retweet!"

And, of course, there was new American Idol judge Ellen DeGeneres.

It appears that this dance-off goes to Ellen. Oprah is disqualified for her use of the Black Eyed Peas and Tyra's out because of her excessive ridiculousness. So Ellen for the win. That makes her 2 (this prestigious dance-off and AI judging) for 3 (lawsuits are the worst) this week. Not bad.
