Roman Polanski's Aptly-Timed Walk of Fame Star Unveiled

Talk about terrific timing.

Roman Polanski—he of the 1976 sex case and current drama—has earned a star on the Walk of Fame in Warsaw, Poland.

In fact, he is one of only 12 "giants of film," according to the AFP, to be included the public walkway in the city's center. He joins Marilyn Monroe, Woody Allen and Penelope Cruz.

The 76-year-old is quoted on the ground-trodden plaque. "Nothing is too shocking to me," it reads.
