Michelle McGee Laments "Most Hated Person in America" Status

"It's easy to target someone who looks different," the heavily tattooed alleged mistress of Jesse James tells Daily 10

Michelle "Bombshell" McGee insists that she wouldn't be living a PR nightmare if Jesse James had just been honest with her.

"I am not a homewrecker," she said in a sit-down Thursday with Daily 10. "I don't believe I destroyed their marriage. Jesse destroyed his marriage. My message to Jesse would be, 'If you were honest to me up front...we wouldn't be in this situation.'"

"It's hard to be the most hated person in America," McGee continued. "It's easy to target someone who looks different."

Or someone who sold her story to a tabloid...

But the heavily inked tattoo model (hey, she practices what she preaches) says she believes that she "did the right thing" by sharing her side of the alleged story because In Touch Weekly, the magazine she gave the scoop to, would have printed it anyway.

"I hope she [Sandra Bullock] does watch this," McGee said. "I'm sorry this all happened. I want to apologize for her hurt and embarrassment. I'm sorry this went public."

"I knew I was going to get some kind of backlash—this was America's sweetheart," she said added. "[But] I would do it again."

Besides, James should be the one baring the brunt of this scandal, McGee said.

Um, we're pretty sure he is...

McGee maintains that she "took his word" when James told her last year that he and Bullock were separated.

"At that time, I believed him," she told D10. "He made it clear, they weren't together, I believed him. I did have a little bit of my suspicions. I'd mention things to him like, 'Let's go on a ride or out to dinner' and he said, 'I can't really do that.'"

McGee also slammed the idea of James suffering from a sex addiction.

"I don't know what's going through his head...I was really shocked he went to sex rehab," she said. (For the record, neither James nor his reps have confirmed what he's being treated for in rehab.)

"It was a bogus move," McGee said. "I don't know if I buy sex rehab. I think it's an easy thing for celebrities that cheat on their wives."

Before the Bombshell, Jesse James and Sandra Bullock had a monster love story. And the pics in our gallery might be the last photographic record of it.
