UPDATE: From Snooki's rep, Scott Talarico: "Rumors of Nicole's romantic status have been greatly exaggerated. She is single with no immediate plans to change that."

What, this didn't do it for her?

Will you GTL with me, in sickness and in health?

That's what Snooki's boyfriend, ex-Iraq veteran Jeff Miranda, is asking the pint-sized Jersey Shore star. On the cover of a magazine, no less.

Snooki's man, in nothing but fatigue pants, dog tags and a khaki hat, is showing off his tanned, oiled and tattooed chest on the latest cover of Steppin' Out magazine, where he tries to make an honest woman out of America's favorite guidette.

His method of choice? "Will You Marry Me?" stamped on the cover in white block lettering as he gazes into the camera on bended knee.

And not only does he think that the 22-year-old perpetually tan-loving, drinkg-guzzling  alleged criminal annoyance would be the ideal wife, he thinks she's also perfect mom material.

"I want us to be together forever," 24-year-old Jeff tells the magazine. "I could see us having children. I want to pop the question to her. If we got married we would be the best parents around. She's so loving and puts everyone else before herself. She'll be a great mother."

And Snooki's lucky guy swears there's no way he's using her for fame.

"I didn't ask for cameras in my face. It came with the territory. But I'm willing to put up with it for Nicole. I just want to be with Nicole and make her happy. I can make her the happiest girl in the world. I have very strong feelings for her. If people could see us together they would think we're a match made in heaven. People think I'm using her for fame. But that's bullsh--t."

Jeff says he's not sure whether the artist otherwise known as Nicole Polizzi will be his missus—he says he hadn't asked her for her hand  in person before the interview.

"I think Nicole will be shocked by this cover story and the fact that I'm asking her to marry me on the cover. But once she deals with the shock I think they'll say yes. I really do. In fact, I know she'll say yes."

Snooki, on the other hand, has been strangely mum on the proposal. We're guessing that's not a good sign.
