Iggy and Stooges' Gear Stolen in Montreal

Punk-rock icon Iggy Pop and The Stooges fell victim to thieves as a rental truck containing their equipment was stolen following a concert in Montreal.

The event probably won’t help endear the legendary rocker to Canada. The Stooges are in the middle of a tour and will still make their scheduled gig in Toronto Wednesday using rented and donated equipment.

Stooges road manager Eric Fischer reports the 15-foot truck stolen Monday contained all the group's instruments and stage gear worth tens of thousands of dollars.

Let’s hope their Toronto gig tomorrow ends on a much higher note.
