Who looks fine, and who should be fined?

Fefe Rocks Petite Fashionista

Fefe Dobson Sherlyn Torres

Let me start off by saying that I am the epitome of petite – I’m 4’11”3/4.  I prefer to round that number up to 5 feet.  Shocking, isn’t it?  So of course it made sense that I hit the Petite Fashionista Presents event at the Intercontinental Hotel in downtown Toronto.  Canadian rock star, Fefe Dobson came to check out the event and report for us.  Cool, huh?

Petite Fashionista started a couple of years ago by a lil’ lady by the name of Christa Jean.  Now you should know that Christa is little and loving it.  She even went as far as to correct Fefe by calling her average because she’s 5’4” when she tried to put herself with the petite bunch.  I guess as a borderline midget, I would consider a person 5’4” to be a fit for the runway.

The event was the first of its kind – with free mani’s and massages all day, small girls could finally get the royal treatment they deserved.

Because there were various booths crammed into the rather appropriate small space, you can imagine producing the segment was a bit of a nightmare.  Our crew consisted of the lovely Fefe, her PR rep, our camera guy, a makeup artist for Fefe and myself.  Yes, we traveled rather heavily for a teeny, tiny event.  Now you need to consider the hoards of little girls following us around, snapping pictures of the singer.  Any time our camera turned off they swarmed in for a picture with Fefe.  It was that scene in My Girl when the bees attack poor little Maculay Culkin.  I could have lost my cool, but didn’t.  I know what it’s like to be a mega-fan and believe me, if Courtney Love or Bob Dylan were kicking around somewhere, you bet your butt I would ask for a new Facebook profile pic.  Perhaps if the organizer hadn’t pimped out Fefe before the event through the website, the girls would have realized she wasn’t there with the event, but rather with us.  Oh well.

The best part of the event was an auction of clothes straight from Hayden Panettiere and Kiesha Chante's closet’s.  All the proceeds went to Save The Whales Aagain!

Fefe did a great job of reporting for us and thankfully came full of energy and enthusiasm.  How refreshing.  Meanwhile, everyone else seemed to be in full spirits – and how could they not?  Us gals just love a custom-fit event.
