How Dudes Do the Tropic Thunder Red Carpet

Last night’s Tropic Thunder premiere brought out so many big names, the red carpet was awards-season worthy. But being a funny (some may even say offensive) movie, the guys decided to keep it cazh with sneakers.

Of course, we believe one of these men outshone the others. Some thoughts, after the jump...

Tom Cruise looks like he’s trying a bit too hard to be all cool and hip. It's like he's saying, “Yeah, kids, I can wear jeans on the red carpet. And just wait until you see me in the movie. I wear a fat suit! A fat suit just like Eddie Murphy! I totally know what's up.” (Cue trademark cackle here.)

Then there’s Matthew McConaughey, and he’s just, well, Matthew McConaughey. There’s no wet suit and he did manage to leave Levi at home, so it’s really the best we can expect from him. Overall, he gets an “all right, all right.”

This means Robert Downey Jr. and his new mustache are the winners in our book. Yes, perhaps his jacket shouldn’t be double-breasted, but we’re willing to forgive this one mistake because he’s awesome and some of us have a crush on him.

It should be noted that we did not review Jack Black's suit, but it's worthy of checking out if you like lightning.
