TIFF Preview: Look Who's Coming to Town

Toronto is already abuzz with TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) excitement. In the past two days the festival has announced over forty films that will be either making its World Premiere or North American debut. Some of the films that were announced include Guy Ritchie’s comeback film (hopefully) RocknRolla which stars Entourage badass Jeremy Piven, hunky Gerrard Butler and Ludacris, all of whom will be present at the red carpet.

Plus, Richard Linklater’s latest film Me and Orson Welles which stars Teen Idol of ’07, Zac Efron and the lovely Claire Daines. And for all you girlies out there, I’ve got confirmation from his publicist that yes he will be in town!

The other film that has my tongue wagging include Stephen Soderbergh’s 5-hour Che epic which stars the Oscar winning Benicio Del Torro. However, the film will be broken up into two parts appropriately titled Part One and Part Two.

Other A-List stars with films at the festival include, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Charlize Theron, Jennifer Aniston, Kim Basinger, Mark Ruffalo, Michelle Williams, Adrien Brody and the list goes on and on.

There are rumours swirling that Leonardo Di Caprio will be here with Body Of Lies. If these rumours are true, which I have a sneaking suspicion they are, this year’s festival will be swarming with some of Hollywood’s best. E! News Weekend will bring the most in-depth coverage of the festival, so keep it locked!
