The Canadian actress was spotted with that bauble on that finger, and wagging tongues wasted no time in assuming that the presumptive engagement ring was bequeathed to her by beau of roughly nine months, Michael Sheen.

So false!
First of all, despite what the diamond and finger placement would have you believe, that is not an engagement ring.
But don't take our word for it, take that of Sheen's rep.
"This isn't true—they are not engaged," Clair Dobbs told E! News.
You know what that means: Notebook lovahs 4 EVA! Rachel and Michael are still just happily dating.
The duo, who costarred in Woody Allen's forthcoming Midnight in Paris, were first spotted getting smoochy late last summer at the Toronto Film Festival. It was months later, in October, that they actually went public, getting photographed holding hands around Rachel's Canadian hometown.
While the 32-year-old Rachel has previously been linked with Gosling and Josh Lucas, the 42-year-old Sheen was previously married to Kate Beckinsale and has a 12-year-old daughter, Lily, from that relationship.
In any case, an engagement may not have taken place yet. But let's watch this space, eh?
