Call Her Dr. Dion! Celine Receives Honourary Doctorate

Quebec’s Université Laval awarded a honourary doctorate to international star, Celine Dion last week.

Ironically, Dion never finished high school! But she admits in a news conference that, "the school of life is also very important."

The event, which is part of Quebec City's 400th anniversary celebrations, was a full house, attended by both Celine’s and husband René’s families, as well as many dignitaries and hundreds of guests.

Dion has also received the titles of Officer of the Ordre national du Québec, Officer of the Order of Canada, and Chevalier de l'Ordre de la Légion d'honneur de France in 2008, in recognition of her extraordinary career and personal qualities.
