90210: Big Boys Do Cry

The 90210 hotties have just given us one more reason to love 'em: They have a sensitive side, and they ain't afraid to show it! Ryan Eggold, who plays Ryan Matthews, the lip-locking partner of Kelly Taylor (Jennie Garth) on the CW show, recalls a tear-jerking moment he and his male 90210 costars recently experienced together. "The Secret Life of Bees was terribly sad. I'll be honest with you—I cried," Eggold said last week at the Fallout 3 launch party. "I was sitting with Dustin [Milligan], Michael [Steger] and a few other buddies, and I would look over, and they were crying, too. And I was just like, OK, we're all crying." Eggold says that "despite the onscreen characters they play, everyone on 90210 has a pretty big soft spot in real life." But that doesn't mean he and his boys didn't initially try to mask their tears.
"It was the kind of thing where all the guys walked out and were like, 'Did you cry?' 'No, no.' 'Did you?' 'No, no, no.' 'OK, yeah, I cried.' 'OK, me, too. Me, too.' And then we all admitted it," Eggold says. "I was watching Tristan [Wilds] get beat up in the movie and stuff. I was like, 'Tristan, no!' I just wanted to help him, but I couldn't because it was a movie."
Sounds like watching his 90210 costar get the wind knocked out of him isn't the only thing Eggold gets choked up about.
"I'm single and bitter," he says.
