He must win on Sunday. His track record is proof enough. The man has already picked up something like 18 awards for his work in No Country for Old Men. You name it, and he's got it already—Golden Globe, BAFTA, SAG and film critics groups from New York, Boston and Toronto to Chicago, Las Vegas, Kansas City and beyond.
The only upset I could see would be if Hal Holbrook sneaked in to grab it from Bardem. He's an actor's actor who has won Tony and Emmy awards. And truth be told, he probably won't have many more chances for an Academy Award. At 82 years old, he just may be this year's Jack Palance.
Wonder how many push-ups he could do...
