Patrick Swayze Still in Treatment

Despite reports to the contrary, Patrick Swayze's rep wants to assure fans that the actor has not given up in his battle against pancreatic cancer.

While several publications, including the National Enquirer and a slew of British tabloids, morbidly reported this week that the 56-year-old had ceased chemotherapy treatments and all other medication and instead was focusing on making his remaining time comfortable, his publicist is adamantly denying the claims.

"Nothing has changed," Annett Wolf tells E! News. "Patrick is still receiving his treatment."

The actor announced last year that he was diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer. Earlier this month, he checked himself into a hospital after coming down with pneumonia, said at the time to be a complication of his ongoing chemotherapy treatments.

He revealed to Barbara Walters last month that his treatments had resulted in his being in agony during his 13-hour workdays on the A&E drama as a result of his insistence that he not take any pain medication while on set.

"No matter what's thrown at me, I can take it," Swayze said. "And I can keep going."

As it is, it's the second time in as many months erroneous reports regarding Swayze's health have been shot down. Back in December he was forced to deny rumors that he was on his deathbed.
