Céline Dion Tries for Another Baby After Pregnancy Loss
This is not the type of baby news we like to deliver: Céline Dion is no longer pregnant.
Last August, the golden-piped songbird and husband René Angélil confirmed that she was three months along with her second child after undergoing a round of in vitro fertilization treatments.
Unfortunately, that is no longer the case: Angélil confirmed to the Journal de Montreal that the 41-year-old Canadian chanteuse is no longer in the family way, as the embryo transfers—which took place in August and October—were ultimately unsuccessful.
Angélil said that both they and their doctor "believed that the procedure/pregnancy took, but that wasn't the case. We found out some days later. We were shocked."
But not deterred.
Celine Dion's Genes Will Go On and On
Boy oh boy. Or girl.
Titanic-voiced songbird Celine Dion is expecting her second child with male cougar hubby René Angélil, according to the Journal de Montreal.
Per the French-language paper, the 41-year-old Canadian chanteuse and her 67-year-old manager-husband conceived after undergoing a round of fertility treatments in New York. The Journal reported that Dion is due in May, meaning she may be pregnant, but only just.
Is it us or do things move faster on the metric system?
"Celine and René are very happy," her rep told various outlets. "They are crazy in love over the news...they are overjoyed."

Another Celine in the Wings? Rene Angelil to Coach Aspiring Talent on Quebec TV
René Angélil, husband and manager of pop icon Celine Dion, has agreed to take over as director of Star Académie, a Quebec reality TV equivalent to Canadian Idol.
Angélil will coach and critique aspiring talent as they prepare and then perform on the show, and participate in one of the galas.
In previous seasons, Angélil and Dion participated as advisers for the show.
This month, the Star Académie team will travel to 12 cities in Quebec, Ontario and New Brunswick to find 100 candidates for the upcoming season. That number will be pared down to 20, who will be introduced at a gala in February.
Angelil said in a media conference last week that the young people who participate in the show enjoy a springboard for their career that was not available to him when he was younger and in a musical trio called Les Baronets.
