Behavior Watch on set of The Fighter

Few more yummy morsels for you from the set of The Fighter. Like we told you yesterday, filming is underway on the outskirts of Boston, and Amy Adams, Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg are all putting their game faces on for the much-hyped movie due out next year. Although, some are having more success than others.

Think you know which out of the three is the best-behaved out on the East Coast?

Wahlberg Parties as Bale Goes AWOL on Fighter Set

Mark Wahlberg, Christina Bale Fame Pictures

Christian Bale's setting off all kinds of alarms again.

Filming of The Fighter is underway in Massachusetts, and we have a super spy on the set giving us some dee-lish deets. Seems the big three (Bale, Mark Wahlberg and Amy Adams) were all on location at the retro-hip Olympia Restaurant, a frequent hang for past real-life fighters like Mickey Ward.

You remember that perfectionist Bale likes to do things as realistically as possible, right? He's slimmed down dangerously for parts before (like The Machinist), and now the emaciated actor's doing it again.

"[Christian] has lost almost as much weight as he did for The Machinist. He is so gaunt," blab our eyes, standing right next to the Batman star.

Christian plays Dickie Eklund, a former crack addict, so that explains why Bale is so skeletal all of a sudden. "They have even thinned his hair—he just looks sickly."

But Christian's bizarre behavior doesn't stop at his appearance...

Is Melissa Leo Scared of Christian Bale’s Temper?

Christian Bale, Melissa Leo AP Photo/Manu Fernandez, Frazer Harrison/Getty Images for VH1

Academy Award nominee Melissa Leo sure has made the most out of her recent jump to Hollywood's A-list. Seriously, check out her IMDb page—the babe has tons of movies in the works, including a flick with Kristen Stewart (that girl-on-girl action will come tomorrow, promise). Up first, we were curious about M.L.'s most recent gig: playing mom to Christian Bale in The Fighter.

We caught up with Mel at the L.A. Film Festival opening of Paper Man last week and had to know how everything's going with the temperamental actor.

Are you nervous at all? Christian has a reputation of getting very into his roles...

Christian Bale Jokes About On-Set Blowup?

Loading...

Christian Bale sat down with E!'s Jason Kennedy over the weekend to talk about his upcoming blockbuster, Terminator: Salvation. Of course, Bale's infamous fit during filming was a big White Elephant during the junket that had to bitched about.

C.B. apologized after the incident happened and has already taken responsibility for the way it was handled.

"It's not like I'm trying to give reasons for it, or say I'm not to blame fully. I am. I'm saying that completely. So, what more is there to do? If people want to hold that against you they will."

So are people who worked on the film still holding it against him? We checked around to see if it all had really blown over.

Bitch-Back! Fans Rally for Aniston, Bale and Pattz

Robert Pattinson, Christian Bale Jason LaVeris/Getty Images, Mike Marsland/Getty Images

Dear Ted:
What a sad and frightening blind item about Brain-Fry Noodlestein. This person obviously needs help, and it doesn't sound like his friends are helping at all. Could it by chance be either of the Wilson brothers?
Anonymous in Dallas

Dear Owen'ing Bry:
Very sad indeed, but either of the Wilsons it is not. Interesting guess, though.

Dear Ted:
You probably have heard this from a lot of people already, but I have a very good friend who just recently worked with Christian Bale. When I asked what they thought of the "flare-up" thing, they told me it turns out that a lot of people are glad that he went off on that particular crew person on the film that day. Seems he has a reputation, and the person who gave me the scoop told me the guy Christian was yelling at is known to be a total douche in those circles, and most people do not like him. I even heard that some producers or director sent Bale flowers as a congratulations for yelling at that guy. Not that I think that justifies ever screaming at a person in that way, but might give you a perspective of both sides of the situation
Anonymous

Dear Batting for the Bat:
Honestly, I'm sure there has been way worse said, or rather screamed, on a set before than Bale's rant. It just isn't taped or leaked. Even though I'm a C.B. fan, it just should have been handled differently.

Dear Ted:
Just saw a pic of Nicole Kidman in Tokyo in a black flowing gown and looking distinctly fuller faced. Possibly a small baby bump was showing. Any news about that?

Bigger Paycheck For Batty Christian Bale?

The Dark Knight, Christian Bale Warner Bros. Pictures

Batman sources are confirming—as is Warners—that hothead Christian Bale, as expected, is back for his third Batman pic, once that flick starts filming, ideally for a 2011 release. And despite the fact that I'm told Bale's very interested in increasing his paycheck for this particular segment, "he has to do the movie," said a supertight C.B. crony. "He's bound contractually for another film."

But before that third baby can even come to fruition, the Burbank powerhouse studio is currently making another flick, Inception, with Bale's Batman director, Chris Nolan.

(Ironically, many suspicious Batman snoops think Inception could possibly be a cover for the third Batman film itself, as the plot's currently ultra hush-hush; stay tuned on that subplot.)

Undoubtedly, Nolan, too, will be back for the comic book franchise that's made over a billion dollars on the last installment alone. That was The Dark Knight, 'course. Batman Begins made a paltry $300 million, friggin' cab fare by comparison. But will it all be an easy-as-pie sequel to put together?

Truth, Lies & Ted: Chris Brown's Buds Back Talking?

Are Michael Phelps' and Chris Brown's pals sticking by their busted buddies' sides the way their sponsors so are not anymore? And why are we so pissed, not at Christian Bale but at his mom? Morning Piss: Christian Bale’s Mom Sells Him Out

Terminator: Salvation, Christian Bale Warner Bros. Entertainment

Christian Bale's hissy fit has all of H'wood talkin', and some are coming to his defense, like Terminator assistant director Bruce Franklin. In no way do we think C.B.'s thirty-some F-bombs were an appropriate way of handling the sitch, but there's more info we'd like to have before completely blacklisting the Bat to Lifetime movies.

And the more we hear from C's mom, Jenny Bale, the more we see where some of his issues may come from:

Batman vs. Robin: Who Will Totally Lose It First?

Russell Crowe, Christian Bale Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty Images; Mike Marsland/Getty Images

"If he just got a personality transplant, he'd be fine."

The above quote from a very good friend to both Christian Bale and Russell Crowe describes which über-talented hothead? First guess has to be Bale, what with his instantly notorious Terminator meltdown.

But first, gotta tell ya, there's a new kind of crazy in town. Crowe, who next stars as some sort of tights-bulging Robin Hood type, has sure had his experience with film nuttiness, and now Bale's taking the potty-mouthed cake.

Did you hear that crap C.B. spewed at the dude who walked in on his film scene? Here, listen (NSFW and such):

Christian Bale: Chilled Real-Life Superhero?

Christian Bale AP Photo/Manu Fernandez

Think Christian Bale probably heard that the powers that be want him to sex it up a bit more for the next Batman installment, be a little less, you know, anemic-looking and crankyass?

See, we caught up with LeeLee Sobieski at the D&G opening, babe just recently wrapped the much-anticipated film Public Enemies, starring moody hunks Johnny Depp and Bale, both.

Firstly, we were über-curious if C.B. kept his infamous temper on lockdown, unlike stories we heard from the Terminator set, not to mention that nastiness with his mom a while back. "He was such a gentleman," fawned L.L. "He was very protective of all the women and the men on set. He was actually amazing to everybody, the utmost professional guy. In fact there was even an instance one night where he kept a lady safe."

So is Christian a real-life caped crusader?
