The big winner at Saturday's Creative Arts Emmys?

Sarah Palin. Tina Fey. The bespectacled funnylady's spot-on Saturday Night Live spoofin' of a certain veep wannabe earned her an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress, Comedy.

You betcha.

"This would not be possible without Mrs. Palin...[who is] an inspiration to working mothers everywhere," Fey sad as she picked up the prize. She also gave a shout-out to "my parents, who are lifelong Republican, for their patience."

"They thought the first four sketches were very funny and the last two, enough already," said Fey, who can collect more hardware at next weekend's Primetime Emmys.

Meanwhile, all that booty-shaking with Beyoncé and mother-loving with Susan Sarandon paid off for Justin Timberlake...

The haters can suck it. Well, them and, if history is any indication, Ryan Seacrest.

None other than Kathy Griffin herself has been lined up to host the 2009 Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards, a ceremony she's lovingly christened the "Schmemmys," this fall.

No stranger to the show, the My Life on the D-List star has not only taken home the award for Outstanding Reality Program for the past two years (take that, Cesar Millan), she's walked away with the night's biggest headlines, as well—first, for an acceptance speech in which she saw fit to tell Jesus in no uncertain terms to "suck it," and secondly for both cussing out her peers and opining on the merits of making love to her statue.

(If that's how she feels about her Emmys, what will she say about her Tater Top?)

"We're thrilled as Kathy's the first Emmy winner to host the Creative Arts show," ceremony producer Spike Jones Jr. said. "She stole the show the last two years, so now, we're giving her the opportunity to officially hijack it. We're all very, very excited. And just a little bit scared."

Pity the poor network in charge of manning the delay button on that ceremony. Oh, wait…while the ceremony takes place Sept. 12, the show will be edited down and aired as a two-hour special on E! later that month.

The Creative Arts Emmys went down over the weekend, and as you can see in the sneak peek clip above, two of our beloved TV faves—Barney and Stella, aka Neil Patrick Harris and Sarah Chalke—kicked things off with their usual awesomeness (and ass-crackery).

We caught up with the cracked-out duo backstage and learned that Sarah is looking more and more like a How I Met Your Mother regular (hurrah!) and is apparently a "gentle kisser." Want more HIMYM and Scrubs goodies from the Emmy fiesta? Click in!

First things first: "That was not my real buttock, I wax!" Neil clarified to us after the segment you saw above, and I applaud him for his bravery (on the folding table and beyond).

As for working with Sarah, NPH said: "She's really a delight; she's gung ho for anything you throw at her. We love having her on HIMYM, this was super fun, and now that Scrubs has passed, maybe she'll come join our ranks for a while."

Speaking of Sacred Heart, Sarah said Scrubs shot its last scene ever on Monday, and the entire cast and crew were in tears. "I was so verklempt. It's an unbelievable chunk of time to spend with such a special group of people."

And now NPH is gunning for Sarah to come onto HIMYM full time and maybe even be the Mother: "The first time she ever was on set for the read-through, it was like she wasn't ever not on the show. She fits in real well; she works really well with Josh Radnor, their chemistry's strong, and she's a really delightful person off-camera, and a gentle kisser. I would've expected more of a ferocious tonguing—you think it would be a lot more angry. But just a flick of the tongue right on the lower lip; I wouldn't have thought that from Sarah Chalke."

Sarah Silverman came to terms with Jimmy Kimmel. Kathy Griffin called a truce with Jesus.

Such were the overtures made at last night's Creative Arts Emmy Awards, where Silverman won her first career statuette for her, um, emphatic Jimmy Kimmel Live contribution, "I'm F--king Matt Damon," and Griffin scored her second straight win for My Life on the D-List.

The victorious Silverman thanked her cowriters and her A-list costar, even though Damon, she said, "had very little to do with this being popular."

Silverman also paid tribute to Kimmel, with whom she uncoupled in July

"I'd like thank Jimmy Kimmel, who broke my heart…" she said, before reversing course for punchline purposes, and restating, "who will always have a place in my heart."
