This Post-it Note just in! Meredith Grey won't go missing from Seattle Grace after all.
Sources confirm that Ellen Pompeo is expected to return to the set of Grey's Anatomy "very soon" after giving birth to baby girl Stella Luna Sept. 15. Thanks to her early return, as well as her willingness to preshoot scenes before the birth (most of which took place in bed after Meredith's liver surgery in last night's ep), it is working out that not a single episode will go Meredith Grey-less.
Pretty good news for Meredith and Derek fans, right?

Having just given birth two weeks ago to daughter Stella, you wouldn't blame Ellen Pompeo if she opted to stay in her scrubs.
But it turns out the TV doc has no need for such loose-fitting garments, as she proved Wednesday night while attending the launch of Adidas Originals by David Beckham and designer James Bond in L.A.

Grey's Anatomy resident Ellen Pompeo and her music-producer hubby Chris Ivery are first-time parents after giving birth to a baby girl Sept. 15 in Los Angeles, her rep confirms to E! News.
The prognosis is peachy. The newbie, Stella Luna Pompeo Ivery (just like the kids book!) and mom are said to be doing fine.
Pompeo, 39, and and Ivery, 41, began dating in 2003 (before she landed the titular job on ABC's hit Grey's Anatomy) and got hitched in 2007.

Katherine Heigl Throws Ellen Pompeo's Baby Bash

When you're throwing a baby shower, it can't hurt to have a doctor in the house…or at least someone who plays one on TV.
Katherine Heigl served as host for Ellen Pompeo's baby shower Saturday afternoon, offering her Los Angeles home as the location for the mother-to-be's bash.
Rebecca Gayheart, Kate Walsh and Sandra Oh were among the 25 guests in attendance at the outdoor, umbrella-embellished event, according to People.com. Pink floral arrangements and candles adorned tables to herald the impending arrival of Pompeo and hubby Chris Ivery's baby girl in October.
The Grey's Anatomy star donned a flowy white dress and racked up gifts wrapped in pink and yellow, including a Sleep Sheep toy mobile, Sleepy Safari stacking toys, organic hooded towels and a Kiddopotamus organic swaddle wrap.

Meredith Grey's anatomy is rapidly enlarging: Ellen Pompeo has a McBun in the oven, her rep confirms to E! News.
This will be the first child for Pompeo, 39, and husband Chris Ivery, 41.
"It's great news. They're ecstatic," Allen told People, which first reported the happy news.
The Grey's Anatomy star and her music-producing beau wed in 2007.
With the show wrapping soon for its summer hiatus, it's unlikely Pompeo's pregnancy will need to be addressed in a TV storyline.
But there appears to be something in the water at Seattle Grace. Chyler Leigh, who plays Pompeo's onscreen sister, Lexie Grey, is due with her third child next month, and producers managed to keep her burgeoning belly disguised.
