Kathy Griffin: What Happened to Levi Johnston?
It was just a little over a month ago that Kathy Griffin's date for the Teen Choice Awards was Sarah Palin's almost-son-in-law Levi Johnston.
But Bristol Palin's 19-year-old baby daddy was nowhere to be found at the Emmys.
"He's in his igloo in Wasilla crying and texting me," Griffin, 48, told me. "I'm at the stage in the relationship where I have to play hard to get, but I will say this, I've been throwing up for about two weeks and I do feel a little kicking."
On a more serious note, the Mariska Hargitay was her usual beautiful self on the red carpet in a Carolina Herrera gown...

Rob Lowe on Patrick Swayze: "He Loved Life"
If ya haven't heard, the flick St. Elmo's Fire is being developed into a television dramedy series.
Rob Lowe, who costarred in the movie alongside Demi Moore, Emilio Estevez, Andrew McCarthy and others, says he wasn't aware of the new project until we asked him about it yesterday at the Emmys.
But no biggie, because the Brat Pack flick actually isn't Lowe's top choice to be made for the small screen...
Live From the Emmys: Tweet, Tweet, Tweet!
Hello from the Downtown Los Angeles!
I'm down at the Nokia Theatre right now on the Emmy red carpet. I'll be here tweeting away until about 5 p.m. PST and I'll continue inside during the show. And it doesn't stop there. After the awards are handed out, I'm headed to the always fun and glam-filled HBO party!
So follow me now on Twitter at @marcmalkin.
Who are you excited to see and hear from? Justin Timberlake (yup, he's presenting!), hot stuff Jon Hamm, or funny guy and host Neil Patrick Harris? How about Ms. Hilarious herself Tina Fey, the always stunningly beautiful Mariska Hargitay or I-can't-wait-to-see-what-she-is-wearing Drew Barrymore?
And of course there's that dance between Karina and Maks! As far I've been told rehearsals have been nothing but hot. Perhaps they'll be back together by the end of the evening.
Happy Emmys, everybody!
Twilight's Justin Chon: Dark Eclipse, Tighter Security
Get ready for darkness.
Twilight star Justin Chon tells me that director David Slade's Eclipse isn't exactly taking his lead from Catherine Hardwick or Chris Weitz.
"He's done pretty dark films so that's where I see [Eclipse] really gravitating towards—more of a dark kind of moody film," Chon said yesterday at BAFTA's pre-Emmy tea party. "Just shooting the scenes that I'm in, the mood is definitely different."

Twi-Screenwriter on Robsten: Leave Their Private Lives Out of It!
Just because Robert Pattinson and Kristin Stewart are such the perfect match on screen, Twilight screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg thinks it's time we mind our own business about what goes once the cameras stop rolling.
"Their chemistry on film is so extraordinary," Rosenberg told us at the Entertainment Weekly/Women In Film pre-Emmy party. "They were beautifully cast for those roles and their chemistry is amazing. I think people often confuse chemistry on-screen with chemistry off-screen.
"I think people should just enjoy what's on-screen and leave their privates lives wherever they are," she continued. "I don't actually know what they are."
So what scoop did Ms. Rosenberg tell us about our fave vampire movies? Read on to find out…

Ryan Seacrest: I'm the Reason Simon Won't Be at the Emmys!
Is Simon Cowell ditching the Emmys on Sunday to avoid the possibility of having to witness Ryan Seacrest take home the award for Outstanding Reality Host?
"Simon has placed himself as far away from Los Angeles on Emmy night as possible, just in case I happen to get lucky enough to win one," Seacrest told us last night at Santa Monica's Huntley Hotel, where he was celebrating his new ad campaign for Scope Outlast and Crest Plus Scope Outlast toothpaste.
"He's confirmed he will be in London just so he's not there in case of the little possibility that I walk away with it," he said.
Even so, Seacrest has a plan in place to rub it in the American Idol judge's grouchy face…

True Blood Star Blasts Emmy Snubs: "F--k Awards!"
Michelle Forbes doesn't hold back when saying how she feels about True Blood being pretty much shut out of this year's Emmys.
"Excuse me, but f—k awards!" says Forbes, who plays the very evil but deliciously sexy Maryann Forrester in the hit vampire series.
"That's not where the glory is. The glory is in the audience," she adds. "That's who we tell the stories for. It's not for, with all due respect, the critics and not for the awards shows, but for the audience."
And as we all know by now, True Blood not only has a loyal and dedicated audience (me included!), but…

Maksim & Karina: Dancing Over to the Emmys
Dancing With the Stars' real-life sweethearts Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are waltzing their way into the Emmys.
A source exclusively reveals that the husband-and-wife-to-be (they got engaged on New Year's Eve) will be performing during the big awards show Sept. 20.
I know exactly what they'll be doing, but I think I'm gonna hold off on telling ya too much so you can be surprised. I promise, however, it's going to be fun.
The two have already shown us what kind of fancy footwork they could get themselves into...
Sigourney Weaver on Pole Dancing and Prop 8
Move over, Miley Cyrus!
Sigourney Weaver is giving you a run for your pole-dancing money.
The Alien actress, 59, reveals that she not only dances the samba but also gets down with a pole in You Again, her upcoming comedy costarring Kristen Bell, Jamie Lee Curtis and Betty White.
"I didn't learn that at Yale [School of Drama]," she laughed with reporters during a recent media set visit to the movie. "Although it would have been useful."
No, Weaver does not strip down to, well, stripper clothes. "I wear the same thing [I did] for the samba," she said. "I have a little kind of Carmen Miranda costume."
On a more serious note, Weaver said she's been "very heartened" by the response she's received for Prayers for Bobby. Her role in the Lifetime movie, in which she plays a Bible-thumping mother whose son kills himself because he's gay, earned her an Emmy nomination.
Emmy Preview: Fashion, Flowers and Food
Kristin Chenoweth is changing things up for the Emmys. A nominee for her work on Pushing Daisies, Chenoweth tells me she's not going to be doing all black like she did last year in Giorgio Armani.
"I'll just say it's extremely different for me and extremely different from last year," she said during a break from shooting You Again, a comedy flick with Kristen Bell, Jamie Lee Curtis, Sigourney Weaver and Betty White. "I usually go with black because i like blondes in dark, but..."
In other Emmys news, The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences previewed the Governors Ball the other day in Hollywood. The evening's expected highlights include...
Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul: No 90210 In His Future
Just because Aaron Paul is dating 90210 actress Jessica Lowndes that does not mean he's going to be appearing on the CW primetime soap.
"I think there were pictures of me on set," Paul tells me about rumors he'd be making an onscreen visit to Beverly Hills.
Besides, Paul has enough work on his plate right now. Not only does he play Scott on Big Love, but he's also a first-time Emmy nominee this year for his work as crystal meth dealer Jesse Pinkman on AMC's Breaking Bad.
To say his work on Breaking Bad is intense would be an understatement...
