Tom Ford: Why I Quit Acting
Tom Ford's got another movie up his always fashionable sleeve.
But right now, he's still all about his upcoming Oscar-buzzing directorial debut, A Single Man.
"I have something I'm working on but I'm not ready to talk about it," Ford told me at the GQ Men of the Year party. "I just finished [A Single Man] in August and then we went to Toronto, Venice, Tokyo and London promoting it and my head is spinning. Maybe six months after we're finished with all this I'll be able to figure out what I want to do next."
Definitely not on the agenda? Reviving his attempts at an acting career.
"You know, I used to act when I was younger, but I quit," Ford, 48, explains. "I did it from about 17 to 24. I was too self-conscious. I didn't like it. I wasn't in control."
Spoken like a true director.

Lindsay Lohan: "I've Never Been Happier In My Life!"
Despite her father's shenanigans, a failing acting career and a disastrous foray into high fashion, Lindsay Lohan insists she's one very happy chick.
"I've never been happier in my life," she insisted to us last night at the Nu Pop Movement watch launch at Kitson Men. "As long as my mom, my sister and my brother are happy, then I'm good."
As for Papa Lohan, Linds couldn't help but take a few digs at the man who claims everything he reveals to the tabloids does is all in the name of helping his daughter...
Tom Ford on Depression, Gay Marriage and Botox
Tom Ford is giving it up.
In what is probably his most revealing interview, the former Gucci designer didn't hold back when talking to writer Kevin Sessums for his new Advocate cover story.
First up, Ford's battle with depression. He says he had a serious midlife crisis when he turned 40.
"I have always struggled throughout my life with depression," Ford, now 48, says. "I've never made any of this public because…well…I'm not one to wear any of this on my sleeve. When someone would come into my office in the morning and ask me how I was I'd always go, 'I'm great! I'm great!' But I wasn't great."
Also not great? Not being able to marry his longtime partner Richard Buckley…

Kristen Bell: "My Inner Thighs Are So Sore!"
Kristen Bell is in a lot of pain these days.
"I've started dance rehearsals and my neck is sore and my inner thighs are so sore," Bell told me at last night's Vanity Fair-hosted launch of Guess' new t-shirt benefiting Invisible Children.
No, Ms. Bell is not training for a stint on Dancing With the Stars. She's getting ready to start shooting Burlesque, director Steve Antin's upcoming drama in which she and Christina Aguilera costar as rivals at a Hollywood burlesque club owned by a former dancer played by Cher.
Rounding out the cast is Twilight stud Cam Gigandet, Julianne Hough and Stanley Tucci.
So just how much skin will Ms. Bell and the other young starlets be flashing in the film? Sounds like a lot, but...

Lindsay's Mom: No Business Like Shoe Business
As if Lindsay Lohan didn't take enough of a beating earlier this week when she made her debut as "artistic adviser" of French fashion house Emanuel Ungaro, now her mother Dina is getting into the shoe business.
Plans are currently underway for Dina to release a collection of inexpensive shoes called—ready for this?—Shoe-han.

Lauren Conrad's Robert Pattinson Connection
Forget The Hills. That reality show is so, like, totally last year for Lauren Conrad.
Just today, Ms. Conrad launched a new clothing line for Kohl's department stores. And yesterday, it was announced that she has struck a deal for the movie adaptation of her debut novel, L.A. Candy.
"I've had a good week," Conrad told me as she was getting ready for a party tonight celebrating her Kohl's collection.
That's putting it mildly.
Her partner in the movie deal is Temple Hill Entertainment, which also happens to produce—get ready for this—the Twilight flicks!
Read on to find out what L.C. told me about working with Kohl's, appearing in the L.A. Candy movie and meeting Robert Pattinson…

Once upon a time, Snoop Dogg told us he'd like to hit the studio with Miley Cyrus or the Jonas Brothers.
Sadly, he's singing a different tune these days.
When we caught up with the rapper in April, he told us that he'd like to "make some gangsta pop music" with the Disney sensations.
But when we ran into him last night at the launch of Adidas Originals by David Beckham and James Bond in L.A., he quickly backtracked...

Sarah Jessica Parker: A Big Deal in Fashion?
Not that we need any proof of Sarah Jessica Parker's status as a true fashion icon, but we're hearing she's in talks for a major endorsement deal.
A source reports that the Sex and the City star may be the new face of revived American fashion house Halston.
We don't know if a recent sighting of Parker filming the SATC sequel has anything to do with the possible partnership, but…
Whit Port's BFF: The City Is "Classier" Than The Hills
Roxy Olin comes from some pretty good Hollywood genes. Her dad is Brothers & Sisters producer Ken Olin and her mom is Patricia Wettig, who stars on the show. Roxy even appears on the hit ABC primetime drama.
But soon you'll be seeing a lot more of Ms. Roxy, because she's joined The City. Not only is the 23-year-old living in New York City with Whitney Port, but they're also working together at fashion PR firm, People's Revolution.

Anne Heche: No Wedding to Baby's "Incredible" Dad
Anne Heche doesn't plan on taking another walk down the aisle any time soon.
Although the 40-year-old actress and her former Men in Trees costar James Tupper, 44, have been dating for two years, she feels no need to make things official with a marriage certificate.
"I hope not!" Heche told reporters last night at Judith Leiber's Rodeo Drive store opening when asked if she and Tupper are planning to marry. "I want to stay in love."
Besides, Heche is busy enough with caring for her two sons...
Kathy Griffin: What Happened to Levi Johnston?
It was just a little over a month ago that Kathy Griffin's date for the Teen Choice Awards was Sarah Palin's almost-son-in-law Levi Johnston.
But Bristol Palin's 19-year-old baby daddy was nowhere to be found at the Emmys.
"He's in his igloo in Wasilla crying and texting me," Griffin, 48, told me. "I'm at the stage in the relationship where I have to play hard to get, but I will say this, I've been throwing up for about two weeks and I do feel a little kicking."
On a more serious note, the Mariska Hargitay was her usual beautiful self on the red carpet in a Carolina Herrera gown...
