Sorry, Lionel.

If your daughter Nicole Richie has anything to say about it, you won't be crooning at her December nuptials.

When asked what band will perform at his wedding, Nic's fiancé Joel Madden told E! News on Tuesday that he'd "love Lionel to play a song."

But Nic vetoed that idea last night, saying:

"I'm not down [with that]!" she told E! News during a signing for her new book Priceless.

Then again, maybe she was just joking. When asked when she'll tie the knot, Nic jokingly shot back "never."

Funny, considering she told the ladies on The View she was about to get married.

Still, Joel is playing along, towing the party line that there's no date set.

"Are we getting married? Of course we are, we're engaged," he said during an interview about Good Charlotte's new album Cardiology. "I don't know when it could happen with our schedules. I'm working this next year and a half."

But everyone has time off for the holidays, which just so happen to fall in December. Keep playing coy, you two.

We're still predicting a winter wedding.
