Ali Fedotowsky's wedding plans are on hold—but not because there's trouble between her and fiancé Roberto Martinez.

"When we first ended the show, I was like 'It's gonna be so easy. We'll get married in the spring. Everything will be so simple,'" she told me at the Hollywood Bag Ladies' luncheon for Lupus today in L.A.

So what changed?

Once the ABC cameras stopped rolling and their jetsetting adventures ended, reality set in. And so did Ali's search for a career.

"He's opening up his [insurance] agency and I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do long-term, because yeah, I work at Fox, but I only work there sometimes one day a week," she explained, "So right now, I'm trying to figure out my own path and until we have a stable foundation, we don't really wanna rush into that."

Ali says they're just enjoying their engagement right now, which is pretty understandable, right? Considering they got engaged after only dating a  few months on-camera.

"We feel like we want to have the courtship period. As soon as we get married, it'll be like 'When are you having babies?' When we have babies, it'll be like 'When are you gonna have another one?' So we just want to enjoy every moment."

Makes sense!

The couple will be spending their first holiday together this year, but they haven't decided where they'll celebrate Thanksgiving yet. But one thing is for sure: Ali won't be cooking.

"I don't think we'll be staying home because in that case, he'd be stuck with my cooking and that'd be terrible for him. He really wants to go home to Tampa, so we're gonna really try," Ali said of their Turkey Day options.

Another reality-show regular at the Beverly Wilshire hotel was Rachel Zoe, who was being honored with the Women of Achievement award. The petite stylist didn't comment on what could be her biggest achievement yet: the baby boy she's expecting.

But her choice of wardrobe seemed to make a statement: She was wearing yet another flowy black dress that covered up her stomach.

Can we expect a public confirmation soon, Rachel?
