Jon and Kate Gosselin may have announced their independence from each other and the media recently, but that didn't stop the reality TV duo from having Fourth of July fireworks fun with their eight tykes.

The Gosselin brood brought out their sparklers Saturday evening—with one of the sextuplets donning a holiday-appropriate American flag shirt and shorts to celebrate. As the kids played, Jon spent an hour lighting fireworks in front of the ex-couple's home.

Jon was even spotted laughing with Kate at one point. An eyewitness tells E! News, "It's the first time I've seen Jon genuinely smile in a long time."

However, fans shouldn't get to excited for a reconciliation just yet.

Says the source, the holiday's events were "obviously for the kids."

Michael Jackson Investigation: Needle Marks, Doctor Questions

As investigators continue to dig into the mystery of Michael Jackson's death, new details are emerging constantly. A Jackson family source confirmed to E! News that there were needle marks on the singer's body, consistent with tales of drug injections, and at least four of Jackson's former doctors are facing intense scrutiny.

LAPD detectives, who are being assisted by the DEA, have a special interest in questioning Beverly Hills dermatologist Arnold Klein and are still focusing on Dr. Conrad Murray, according to the source. Murray was with Jackson in his Holmby Hills Mansion at the time of his death, and has already been questioned by police.

Klein, Jackson's longtime friend (and rumored biological father of Jackson's two oldest children), had not been questioned as of Friday afternoon. The source said investigators have been in contact with Klein's attorney, however.

LAPD Gives More Jackson Memorial Details

Don't say we didn't warn you: If you don't have a ticket to The Michael Jackson Memorial, don't go downtown.

The Los Angeles Police Department held a briefing Sunday morning to discuss the ever-expanding list of details surrounding Tuesday's events and once again, police advised fans to stay home.

City officials are not naive to the expected non-ticket holding turnout. The specific number of fans anticipated to converge downtown is a "great unknown," but looking to the past offers some idea.

The funerals of other well-known icons, Elvis and Princess Diana, drew some 75,000 and 250,000 mourners, respectively, and taking into consideration Jackson's worldwide fame, the LAPD is prepping for several hundreds of thousands of fans.

Officials are still in the planning process, but made clear that unless you are a designated ticket holder or credentialed press member you will not be allowed in the "safe zone."

The "safe zone" boundaries will make much more sense to locals, but for out-of-town attendees, this area constitutes North Olympic Blvd., South Pico Blvd. and East and West Blaine St.—basically, the perimeter of Staples Center.

No further details of the Forest Lawn funeral service were provided, except to say that there are no plans for a family motorcade on Tuesday, as well as discussion of the efforts officials are putting into maintaining a respectful distance around the area for memorial proceedings.

Slumdog Kid Finally Moves into New Home

Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail has officially said goodbye to the slums.

The impoverished child star and his family moved into their new home this weekend, nearly one month after Slumdog Millionaire filmmakers purchased a one-bedroom Mumbai apartment for the 10-year-old.

A far cry from the family's recently demolished shanty, a bright-eyed Ismail says: "I like it here, it is really nice. But I will miss my old friends back in Bandra. Maybe I will go and visit them once a while."

The Jai Ho trust, set up for the young stars by Slumdog director Danny Boyle and producer Christian Colson, provided the $50,000 to purchase the home, after the Ismail's lost their shack without warning in May to a government bulldozing of the illegal dwelling.

Gratitude comes in droves for the family who has never owned a home of their own.

"We have lived on the road for so many years," says Ismail's mother, Shamaam.  "I had never dreamed that we would have a roof over our heads."

The Jai Ho Trust is still searching for a home for Slumdog cutie Rubina Ali and her family.

Susan Boyle Dreamed the Dream, Now Recording Debut Album

Looks like everyone's favorite meany is making nice.

After Simon Cowell recently spoke out about mistakes made in handling the Susan Boyle phenomenon, the famed music man has teamed up with the Britain's Got Talent songstress to begin production on her debut album and the duo has already recorded her first song.

"She sounds fantastic on record," Cowell tells People. "She's so good, the album is not just going to be show tunes."

Just don't expect to see Boyle's record out any time soon. After the runner-up's countless issues with hospitalization, stress and exhaustion, the American Idol judge reassures fans: "We're going to take our time with this."

Sources say that Boyle's Sony Music label is also on board with absolutely no pressure to record being placed on the overnight-sensation, as well as an open option to walk away from the project at any time.

Despite a few bumps along the way, Boyle can currently be seen performing across the U.K. on the Britain's Got Talent tour.

Transformers vs. Ice Age: Who Won?

Ice Age: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs Twentieth Century Fox

Now, dinosaurs versus giant robots—there's an even match.

And so it was at the weekend box office, where the tracking firm Exhibitor Relations was declaring the race "too close to call," with Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen both grossing about $42 million, per estimates.

Johnny Depp's Public Enemies debuted with an estimated $26.2 million, on the high side for grown-up movies, circa 2009, if not on the high side of projections. Since Wednesday, the R-rated gangster drama has grossed $41 million, putting it half-way home to its reputedly $80 million budget.

Controversial Biz Manager of Beatles & Stones Dies

If you were looking for a music business personality to contrast with troubled-but-beloved Michael Jackson, you couldn't find one more stark than the decidedly-not-beloved Allen Klein, who passed away July 4 in New York after a battle with Alzheimers. He was 77.

On the plus side, Klein was a hard-knuckled accountant who often managed to get huge gobs of cash away from record companies for star clients like the Beatles, the Stones and Sam Cooke. On the minus side, he often wound up in court opposite his ex clients, ending up with huge gobs of their cash.

The baby bump—one of our favorite things to spot. We spend hours analyzing the midsections of our stars every day.

It definitely helps our baby bump obsession that every season brings a new crop of pregnant famous ladies. And they make growing babies look so effortlessly stylish.

Casual Sundays: Selena Gomez's Look for Less

Selena Gomez PacificCoastNews.com

If Selena Gomez wants to quit her day job—and her unofficial matchmaking career—she could easily be a full-time fashionista. The Disney star was the epitome of casual chic during a recent appearance on Live with Regis and Kelly.

Most 16-year-olds we know don't dress this sophisticated, but Selena does have a thing for older men. Her mature look screams, "Hey Shia LaBeouf, I may be a teenager, but I'm, like, way classier than Megan Fox." And this is just the thing to wear on Sunday date night. Here's how to get it for less.

Forever 21 Brenda Elastic Bracelet forever21.com

Forever 21's Brenda elastic bracelet ($7.80) has similar scales as Selena's Stephen Webster cuff (hidden under her jacket). And it's more tasteful than the snake that crawled across a certain Transformers star's body.

Madonna Pays Tribute to Michael Jackson In Concert

The reigning queen of pop paid her respects to the late King of Pop Saturday night with a musical tribute to the star.

Madonna performed in the O2 in London, the same arena where Michael Jackson was set to stage his "This is it" tour on July 13.

As Madonna sang "Holiday" during her "Sticky and Sweet" tour, a Michael Jackson impersonator took the stage, sporting a sequin-embellished jacket, a Jackson-esque white glove, white socks and a white t-shirt. An image of Jackson as a child appeared in the background.

The impersonator then danced to Jackson's "Wanna Be Starting Something" and even took on the music legend's iconic moonwalk.

After Madonna shouted "Let's give it up for one of the greatest artists the world has ever known," the pop star and her dancers wore jeweled gloves on their right hands to honor Jackson in their last dance.

Madonna wasn't the only mega-star that paid tribute to Jackson since his death. U2 gave respects to the musical prodigy at their opening concert in Barcelona when they sang "Angel of Harlem". Bono threw in some lyrics to some of Jackson's greatest hits.

Michael Jackson Memorial Service a Hot Ticket

Michael Jackson, Staples center Jed Jacobsohn/ Getty Images, Telegraph UK/ ZUMA Press

As expected, the ticket lottery for the Michael Jackson Public Memorial Service has sparked a fan frenzy not unlike one of the pop icon's concerts.

Over 1.6 million people registered for the chance to receive one of the 17,500 free tickets that have been allotted for Tuesday's 10 a.m. service, according to Ken Sunshine, a family spokesman for the Jacksons.

Fans had until 6 p.m. PST Saturday to apply online. With registration now over, AEG will initiate a thorough "scrubbing" of all entries in order to weed out any duplicates and those suspected of having been made by auto-entry programs or "go-bots," the type frequently utilized by ticket scalpers.

A computer program will then randomly select the winners, who will be notified between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. Sunday PST. Tickets will be divided between venues—with only 11,000 given for the service inside of the Staples Center and the remaining tickets allotted for the screening in the Nokia Theater.
