Jessica Simpson Thinks Melrose Place Is "Crap"

Jessica Simpson, Twitter Twitter

Jessica Simpson finally got around to tweeting about Melrose Place firing her sister, Ashlee, and she is none too happy with the writing staff. In fact, Jess thinks the show is worse than any of her straight-to-DVD movies like Major Movie Star and Blonde Ambition.

Last night she tweeted: "CW catching up on MP.who writes this crap?i have had bad scripts to work with, but this?thank God my sister is amazing and got you some press...Watch til Jan.. :)"

Wow. So Jessica believes that Melrose Place only got press because of Ashlee's amazing acting? That's not entirely accurate. While it's true that Ashlee was the most buzzed-about castmember and did most of the press leading up to the soap's premiere, it's the "amazing" part we're not quite buying. That said, we do think it's nice Jess is being a supportive big sister.

And in case you're curious, this is the "amazing" Ashlee Simpson-Wentz in action:

Jessica Simpson, everyone's favorite punching bag, came to terms with the loss of her Maltipoo, Daisy, last month. (So did Nick Lachey, btw, don't forget him!) Now it seems people are tormenting Jess with news of Daisy's miraculous resurrection, and obviously she does not appreciate it.

"People have been contacting my family and friends saying that Daisy has been found. Untrue. People are so cruel...please respect her memory," Jessica pleaded on her Twitter last night.

In other (read: better) missing Maltipoo news, Brooke Burns was reunited Friday with her lost dog, Max—making for at least one happy Hollywood pet owner.

Jessica!

SNAP. OUT. OF. IT.

Look, break ups are hard on all of us—especially those of us who had our first nuptial tryst televised, then went dated a mega-famous athlete. But none of that can explain this outfit you wore to the Operation Smile gala in Beverly Hills.

Is it a Sears make-up counter uniform? Are you a mortuary accountant now? Why do your pants start at your ribcage and end on the floor? Couldn't you have at least thrown a belt on that thing to break up the horror?

It's time to buck up, girl! We know there's a plucky sex kitten in there, just trying to claw its way out of that onsie of sadness. UNLEASH THE BEAST, JESS!

Jessica to Ashlee: Keep Procreating, Please!

More from Marc Malkin

Jessica Simpson talked about having babies this weekend. Well, her sister, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, having babies, that is.

"I want her to have another baby," Jessica said at Ash's 25th birthday celebration on Saturday at the Wet Republic pool in Las Vegas. "I want another nephew or a niece."

The Melrose Place star, along with her big sister, jetted into Sin City on Saturday morning with family and friends, including hubby Pete Wentz and parents Tina and Joe.

Holding court in a private bungalow, Ash was surprised with a three-tiered cake topped with cupcakes.

Not sure if this has anything to do with the not-dating-anyone Jessica, but...

Jessica Simpson may be single, but she's not searching for Mr. Right this time.

Instead, she's letting him find her.

"I think that in the right time, somebody will find me," she told E! News Friday at Operation Smile's gala, where her entire family was being honored. "I'm not seeking it out right now. I'm waiting...but not miserably!"

Sounds like she's in a good place since her birthday breakup with Tony Romo.

Of course, in typical Jessica fashion, she gave a little TMI during her speech onstage...

Martha Finally Throws Jessica a Bone

Looks like you can teach an old dog new tricks after all. That the old trick was being publicly insensitive to loss of a fellow celeb's pooch made it all the more easy.

Martha Stewart has backtracked on comments made in the wake of Jessica Simpson's coyote-abetted dognapping, making slightly less harsh (or, as Jess would say, assholish) comments about the disappearance of her Daisy.

"I said that she should have been watching her dog more closely, but I feel very, very sorry for anybody that loses a pet," she said on Thursday's Martha Stewart Show.

"Jessica, I hope you find your pet, but if you don't, I'm really sorry that you lost one."

Stewart knows of what she speaks. She's said goodbye to two of her own well-pampered pets in the past year and a half.

The domestic diva, who as it happens had the pleasure of once meeting Daisy during a Macy's commercial pow-wow several years ago, said in the wake of the pup's snatching that Simpson should have been "more careful" and advised her to "get another dog."

As it is, the kind(er) words may take a while to get to Simpson. She's currently in Uganda filming The Price of Beauty and photogenically bemoaning the need for mosquito nets.

All dogs go to heaven; the same can't be said for those bloodsuckers.

Jessica Simpson Can't Catch a Break

Jessica Simpson lost her beloved dog, Daisy, to a coyote last week. Pretty sad stuff, she must be feeling pretty down right now.

She probably needs her friends to be there for her, like, "So sorry about Daisy, I'll be right over with a bottle of wine." But some are more like, "I'm so worried about Jess falling into a tailspin, I better call People."

And that is how we came to have this story about what a sad, needy girl Jess is (thanks, friend!).

"Daisy was her baby," this friend shares. "It's going to put her into a tailspin. It will put her into the worst place ever."

The friend also shares some of the pair's more private moments...

Jessica Simpson Still Doggedly Pursuing Daisy

Jessica Simpson Twitter

Jessica Simpson has a message for the cynics (and, let's be honest, realists): Paws off.

Unlikely as a rescue may be, the singer is holding out hope for a reunion with her maltipoo Daisy days after she witnessed the 5-year-old dog get snatched up by a coyote.

"Still holding out hope despite the assholes that say is it a dumb thing to do," she tweeted yesterday. "Daisy is my baby…why would I stop searching? I'm a mom."

You mess with a mama, you get the claws.

In fact, if anything, Simpson has stepped up her efforts to locate her MIA pet, enlisting the aid of dog-finding service Find Toto in her quest to track down Daisy. The company made phone calls to roughly 1,000 of her neighbors (that must be some spread she's got there) asking for leads.

"I'm receiving every building block of faith I can get," she wrote in response to someone sending well-wishes for the pooch's safe return.

Not that she hasn't taken any breaks in her dogged doggy pursuit.

"Everyone watch my beautiful sister be a creepy bitch on Melrose Place tonight," she wrote yesterday. "Tune in! xo".

Coyote Dognaps Jessica's Daisy

The dingo coyote took her baby!

Jessica Simpson is holding out hope that her most faithful of companions, her 5-year-old Malti-Poo Daisy, will have a safe return after she witnessed a four-legged predator snatch her beloved dog.

"My heart is broken because a coyote took my precious Daisy right in front of our eyes," Simpson tweeted yesterday evening. "HORROR! We are searching. Hoping. Please help!"

Along with the tweet, the distraught Simpson, who was surprised with Daisy onstage by her ex-husband Nick Lachey a half-decade ago, posted an online flyer with a picture of the MIA pooch, the words "I miss my mommy," an email address for people or, presumably, literate coyotes, to write with information, and the promise of a reward for the canine's safe return.

Dog speed, Daisy.

No Idol Time for Jessica Simpson

On the surface, Jessica Simpson may have seemed like the perfect replacement for Paula Abdul: Both are sweet, ever so slightly past-prime pop stars who aren't exactly the verbally sharpest chickens in the sea.

But sadly (for the missed YouTube potential, if nothing else), the switcheroo is not to be.

J. Simp's rep Cindi Berger has shot down reports that the blonde reality vet turned wannabe geisha will be filling the fourth seat at the American Idol judges' table, telling E! News the rumors are "not true at all."

Tongues started wagging over the possible replacement this morning, when the New York Post claimed that Papa Joe Simpson was pushing for the casting coup.

Victoria Beckham she's not.

Jessica Simpson's World is Rocked Yet Again

Jessica Simpson is all shook up.

No, her ex-Tony Romo hasn't acted douchey once again and publicly humiliated Jess.

The songstress arrived in Japan over the weekend only to experience a huge earthquake that rocked the Tsuruga Bay region of the country. In response to what is now being classififed as a 7.2 shaker, Simpson did what anyone would do: tweet.

"I have never felt anything like this in my life," wrote Jess. "Thought I was hallucinating during a 6.6 earthquake in Japan. Laying in bed watching CNN."

In all fairness, earthquakes of any size are scary, but a quake of that magnitude would be down right terrifying. And it looks like Jess wasn't the only one overseas.

Beyoncé and Solange Knowles were shaken up, too, with little sis
updating her Twitter, as well: "How did I sleep through a serious earthquake? AGAIN."  An hour later, she continued: "WTF! My sister said she was scared out of her mind and calling my mom and I was snoring. 6.6? Tsunami watch?"

On a positive note, all three singers are safe and healthy—and their tweeting capacity has clearly not been diminished.
