Kristen Rings Christina's Bell With Burlesque Catfight
She solves crimes, she dons bikinis, she pisses off Christina Aguilera—is there nothing the suddenly omnipresent Kristen Bell can't do?
The former Veronica Mars will do battle with the ex-Mouseketeer in the musical-drama Burlesque. (No offense to Bell, but we're guessing the competition may be more dancing than singing-based, because, well...because it's Christina freaking Aguilera we're talking about.)
Per the Hollywood Reporter, the film follows small-town, big-voiced Aguilera (in her big-screen debut) as she becomes the star attraction in a Los Angeles neo-burlesque club. Accordingly, the club's previous golden girl begins to spiral out of control.
The movie—directed by Steve Antin, who as brother of Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin knows of what he helms—already boasts an intriguing band of players, with Cher playing the nightclub owner and Stanley Tucci as the man behind Aguilera's country-to-city mouse transformation.
Production begins next month, with the film due out next Thanksgiving.

Keira Knightley vs. Scarlett Johansson: Suspended Roses or Just Rosy?
We're not sure which of these new couture fragrance ads we like better. Or worse, as the case may be.
At first glance, both Keira Knightley and Scarlett Johansson look lovely modeling for Chanel and Dolce & Gabbana, respectively. The Pirates queen looks sly and sexy in nothing but a pair of suspenders while the Iron Man newbie looks cheeky surrounded by pale pink.
But, when we looked again, we couldn't help but feel ScarJo looks a little lost in the rosy shuffle, resembling some strange combination of Anne Hathaway and Johnny Depp in their upcoming Alice in Wonderland movie.
And, worse yet, Keira is simply not that perky, in demeanor or, ahem, stature.
Let's just say that talented Photoshopper gave her a bit more digital enhancement than a perfect complexion, and we're not talking about the versions of the ad where she is mysteriously wearing a shirt.

Rise 'n' Shine: Jon Gosselin Wants a Chick with Symmetrical Hair
• Jon Gosselin (or, rather, his doppelganger) is just looking for someone to sit on the other side of his couch and not care that he possibly started the rumors about Kate Gosselin hooking up with that bodyguard.
• Rihanna has (negative) feelings for Jamie Foxx.
• Jerry Seinfeld "loves the creative process of making commercials." Right.
• Lady Gaga is totally broke because she's spent every penny she's earned on those totally broke outfits she wears.

Can't wait. So let the Tour de Lance begin to see which Hollywood actor has what it takes to play the cycling legend: Chris Pine? Robert Pattinson? McConaughey? Gyllenhaal? Take the poll below and let us know!
But first, the rest of the casting news…

• It's Miller time! Eli Stone's Jonny Lee Miller is joining famous person Sienna Miller in a Broadway update of August Strindberg's play Miss Julie, says Variety. Can't wait.
Keira's Cut PSA Put On the Chopping Block
Keira Knightley's anti-domestic violence PSA was apparently a little too hard-hitting for the British censors.
British advertising watchdog Clearcast has demanded several cuts be made to Cut, the ad Knightley starred in on behalf of the U.K. charity Women's Aid, claiming that the spot's final scenes, in which the star is slapped, pushed to the ground and repeatedly kicked by her boyfriend, is too shocking for TV audiences.
Women's Aid has already stepped forward to defend the ad and its graphic imagery and to denounce the ruling.
"We were very careful to reflect what we had heard from anecdotal evidence," charity spokeswoman Lucy Brown said, adding that the charity has succeeded in raising public awareness and has had a strong, positive response to the spot.
"We have put this forward to Clearcast, with statistics from the Home Office, and other material."
While the ad, directed by Atonement's Joe Wright, is still available on the charity's website and YouTube, where it has been viewed more than 1 million times, Clearcast is refusing to allow the PSA to be broadcast on British TV screens until the footage is edited.
Rise 'n' Shine: Keira Knightley Only Reads Snail Mail
• Keira Knightley might be getting a bit big for her britches and you all know we don't mean she's put on weight. "I hate the Internet," she says, claiming she feels email and social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook are "dehumanizing." Funny, didn't Demi Moore just save a life by reaching out to fans?
• Does Gwyneth Paltrow really want another kiddo or does she want the world to think she and hubby Chris Martin are still on solid ground?
• We would be doing you a great disservice by not introducing you to Britain's Got Talent's Susan Boyle.
• Drew Barrymore continues along her tour de exes and has dinner with Fabrizio Moretti.
• Someone buy Bobby Brown a pizza already.
• Dear Will Smith: We totally walk around singing Lady Gaga's "pa pa pa Poker Face" too! Love, Rise 'n' Shine

Keira Calls Cut on Domestic Violence
In the wake of Chris Brown's headline-grabbing altercation with Rihanna earlier this year, domestic violence has become a de rigueur topic of conversation on the U.S. talk show circuit.
The U.K., however, is trying to get the word out in a more viral manner.
Cut, an intentionally disturbing new PSA starring Keira Knightley and put together by the British anti-domestic violence charity Women's Aid, was released today. The clip is part of the ACT campaign—to Admit domestic abuse is a problem, Call it by it's name and Talk to someone.
Knightley's Atonement and Pride and Prejudice director Joe Wright helmed the two-minute piece, in which the Oscar-nominated actress appears as a victimized version of herself, brutally beaten by her boyfriend.
"I wanted to take place in this advert for Women's Aid because while domestic violence exists in ever section of society, we rarely hear about it," Knightley said. "We may not think we know someone who has experienced domestic violence, but this does not mean that it is not happening.
"Domestic violence affects one in four women at some point in their lifetime and kills two women every week. Without the services provided by Women's Aid, many more women could be at risk of being killed, yet without donations the charity may not exist this time next year."
Everyone involved in making the film, including Knightley and Wright, donated their time and skills for free.
Keira Knightley Says Never, Sparks Clone War
The sci-fi's the limit for Keira Knightley.
The erstwhile English rose is ditching the period garb and going futuristic, signing on to star in the cloning-themed thriller Never Let Me Go.
Per Variety, the would-be blockbuster centers on a trio of British boarding school students who grow up isolated from the rest of the world only to realize they are actually clones whose sole purpose is to have their organs harvested.
At least if there are any hater-generated complaints about a robotic performance this time around, Knightley can blame it on her character.
Casting Couch: Kanye Strings Along Puppet Show, Keira Gets Jazzy, Hannah Montana Gets Bleu
"Champion" was just child's play. At least, compared to Kanye West's next attempt at puppet mastery.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Grammy-winning hip-hop star has teamed up with Comedy Central for a new half-hour pilot tentatively titled Alligator Boots.
While details on the series are scarce, it's being described by the trade as "hip-hop meets the Muppets" and a different celebrity guest will host each episode.
Casting Couch: Keira, Eva Take the Night, The Rock Visits Tomorrowland, Audrina Goes Greek
Pretty soon, Keira Knightley is going to know all about Last Night.
The Oscar nominee and perpetual-period-piece thesp is stepping out of a corset and into some modern-day garb, joining Eva Mendes, Sam Worthington and French actress Guillaume Canet in the new relationship drama.
According to Variety, Last Night centers on a young married couple who each face temptations to stray in the form of a business trip with an attractive colleague and a chance encounter with a past love.
It's unclear how the roles will be divvied up.
Newcomer Massy Tadjedin wrote and will make her directorial debut on the flick, which begins shooting in New York next month.
